In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] slimstat sinking pagespeed scoresHi, Slimstat dev team here. We’re resuming the development of this plugin after a long hiatus. Part of the issue with performance seems related to the new fingerprint feature that was introduced in one of the most recent versions. On our to-do list we have the option to deactivate fingerprinting, which requires quite a few resources especially on mobile devices. We’re also going to release 4.9 here on the WP repo soon.
Thank you for your feedback!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] one visitor 1 line green and 1 line blueIf that user came from a search engine result page, then it would be one color, but if it’s coming from another page, then it will be blue.
As for the bounce rate, it is calculated as the percentage of single-page visits over the total amount of visits. Given that a visit is (by default) considered by a 30-minute session (unless you customize this value in the settings), it doesn’t matter if that user was coming from a search engine or not.
I hope this helps,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is slow on a brand new websiteFair enough. I’m still convinced it’s the fingerprinting algorithm. Would you like to help me test the difference between a script with and one without that feature?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is slow on a brand new websiteBy the way, on our clean vanilla install with Slimstat enabled, we get better results:
Have you tried deactivating the CDN option under Settings > Tracker to see if things improve?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is slow on a brand new websiteHi guys,
I wonder if this is related to the new fingerprinting feature that we recently introduced in Slimstat. Would you be available to run a few tests for me with a modified tracker that I could send you? If so, please contact me at https://support.wp-slimstat.com
Thank you,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slow load timeHi @bluebit
When Slimstat is configured to work in Client Mode, all the computation needed to record a new pageview is done AFTER the page is sent to the browser, so you should not see any noticeable impact on your site’s performance. Can you try deactivating both Browscap and Maxmind in Slimstat > Settings > Maintenance, and see if that makes any difference? Also, what version of PHP do you have on your server?
Jason
PS: next time, please start your own thread, as it makes it easier for me to track these requests.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] What the failure is this in widgetI see. The easiest way would be to add the corresponding CSS to your theme, so that even when the slimstat css code is not loaded because of adblockers preventing the browser from loading it, then it still renders correctly. Would that work for you?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] What the failure is this in widgetI’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand the issue. Everything looks normal. If you want to hide the percentages etc, you can do that by adding some lines to your CSS file. I can give you more info on how to do that, if needed.
