In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Not Working After UpdateHey Jason!
If you have access to your server error log, could you see if there’s anything related to Slimstat there? Also, could you share the URL of the website where the plugin is installed and active so that I can take a look? You can open a ticket on our website, if you want:
https://support.wp-slimstat.com
Thank you!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Works in PHP 7.3?Hi again,
some debug code had been pushed to the repo by mistake, that was one of the reasons for the error you experienced, my apologies. However, I’d be interested to see those warning messages, so that I can investigate the issue further.
Thanks,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Not Working After UpdateHi @aaron2022
Could you please go to /wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat/ and delete the Browscap folder? Also, please make sure you’re running 4.9.0.1 and that your version of PHP is at least 7.1. Once you delete the folder, in the dashboard go to Slimstat > Settings > Maintenance and turn off/on the Browscap switch. Slimstat should be able to recreate the Browscap folder in uploads (see if that’s the case), and should start logging visits again. If that’s not the case, feel free to open a ticket at https://support.wp-slimstat.com
Thank you,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Works in PHP 7.3?Hi Fernando,
yes, version 4.9.0.1 is compatible with 7.3 as far as I can see. However, if you want you can test the version currently on our github repo (still in beta!) which lowers the minimum requirement back to PHP 7.1:
https://github.com/slimstat/wp-slimstat
Let me know if you notice any glitches!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] No flags, No map – MaxMinds GeoLiteWhich version of PHP do you have? I’m working on adding an alternate library that will make Slimstat compatible with PHP 7.1 again. I will push it to the Github repo in a few days.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Welcome back Jason!Hi @toxicum, I heard those rumors, and to be honest I’ve had my fair share of health issues (thanks, Covid!), but it’s all good now, it wasn’t anything too serious as those rumors seemed to imply.
I really appreciate your offer, I’d love to have someone to brainstorm ideas with! Your PRs were just fine, don’t worry.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] How can we trust you will not disappear again Jason?Thank you, @ipstenu.
Hi @cdx, I understand how people can be frustrated because of the lack of updates in the past two years. It was not in my plans to stop developing Slimstat, but as it was said here above, it’s been quite a ride for everyone. I have been trying to drum up interest for partnerships and contributors, and you’re more than welcome to contribute to this project. To answer your final question, all I can say is that my passion for this project is very much alive, and I plan on continuing to maintain it for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for your patience,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Welcome back Jason!Thank you so much! Your words really mean a lot. Yes, I went through a couple of rough years, and then Covid hit, and with our family we started making thousands of cloth masks for vulnerable communities in the United States, so I didn’t have any spare time to dedicate to the plugin.
I have been looking for partnerships in maintaining the source code, but unfortunately so far there hasn’t been much interest. So, if you know someone who might be able to lend a hand, tell them to reach out for sure!
I plan on resuming work on Slimstat with short- and long-term plans (Gutenberg blocks, anyone?) especially because I’ve invested so much energy on this tool in these past 16 years, and I don’t want it to just become abandonware.
Again, thank you for your words of appreciation! You guys made my day!
– Jason

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] F in counting?Ok great. Could you please open a ticket on our portal at https://support.wp-slimstat.com ? In your database you’ll find two tables, wp_slim_stats and wp_slim_events. You can export those tables and maybe remove any sensitive information you don’t want to share. Attach them as a zip file to your ticket.
Thank you,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] F in counting? My apologies, I had not noticed that in the screenshot. It looks like an issue with the filters. Would it be possible to have a data dump of your slimstat tables so that I can run some tests locally?
