I don’t think there’s an easy solution for that other than not worrying about older posts and starting fresh with only new posts, which may or may not work depending on the size of your network. I’ve tried disabling plugins, increasing memory…always times out when trying to import any blog over a few hundred posts.
We’ve opted to just start from scratch and let the parent blog we’ve created populate for a few weeks with newly published posts
