As additional information, my media library has a blank file placeholder for the image.

It isn’t any of my plugins, I just disabled them all with the same issue

I checked with my hosting provider, Hostgator, and they did not have any such protection. Any other thoughts?

I have no idea if its a v6 site. It is two different IPs.

I can’t find the error logs, I may be looking in the wrong place though.

The plugin works great, these just made it through.

I didn’t change anything. the IP matches. Is there a way to go back to defaults? It is oboe since 6.1 update. 6 worked fine.

I don’t block all countries as I’m afraid they’ll knock out legit stuff. Also, I think Askimet has updated. Could that be it?

I am having the same issue since the latest update. Suddenly more spam in my comments and spam folder. Seems to be since 6.1 update.

As an update, I’ve tried waiting for an auto save to kick in before clicking the save draft button in hopes of having the auto save use the slug of the title and this did not change the situation. I also disabled all plugins and this didn’t do the trick either.

In all cases I start with a title and WordPress seems to take the title as the slug. It is only *after* I hit save draft that it reverts to “auto-draft-3” as the slug.

My permalinks are set to “post title” and this has always worked. It is only since 4.1 update that this problem has been occurring.

Any thoughts?

Nope. In some instances, the slug is created from the title and then it reverts back.

Clearing the cookies did it. Thanks

I wasn’t logged in. I’ll clear cookies and see what happens.

Managed to work with Hostgator to upgrade to php5.3. Problem solved.
