In reply to: [Minamaze] Theme is crashing siteStill no luck with using this theme – despite it being updated to the latest version, it is still affecting a number of plugins from working (i.e. I cannot access the settings menu) and stopping a number of users from logging in.
Real shame, the theme looks great but if its not fit for purpose….

In reply to: [Minamaze] Theme is crashing siteHi emranemranx
Thanks for the quick response.
The theme is on version 1.4.14 and there is no update available so I am assuming that is the latest version? I am using a child theme – it says it is version 1.4.3 but I have tried using both the child and original theme and the same issues occur.
I’m afraid I am unable to provide a link as the site is used internally for business purposes so contains confidential information.
Thanks,
Conrad

In reply to: [evolve] Upgrade to 3.6.6 kills siteHi romik84
I’m afraid updating to 3.6.7 causes the same issues – blank white screen as soon as the theme is activated. I can’t afford to have the site down so will just have to stick with the older version (3.6.4) until I find a fix or an alternative theme
Thanks

In reply to: [evolve] Upgrade to 3.6.6 kills site@jdubois450 – please start your own thread if you are having different issues as it becomes complicated what advice (if any) is meant for what issue otherwise.
@romik84 – I can confirm that the issue of not being able to customise the theme (whilst still on 3.6.4) was due to a plugin. If I deactivate the plugin, I can enter the customise menu as normal.
However, the website crashing at 3.6.6 is still present, even with all plugins disabled. If I change themes, I can update evolve in the background but as soon as I select it as my main theme again the website goes down. Looks like I will have to stay on the older version

In reply to: [evolve] Upgrade to 3.6.6 kills siteHi,
Here is the server PHP info;
Current PHP version: 5.3.28
I am afraid I am a novice at using WordPress so won’t be able to do much editing within the files. All I know is that even if I remove the theme completely and install the updated one as a new theme, it still crashes
Thanks,

In reply to: [evolve] Upgrade to 3.6.6 kills siteHi,
Thanks for the quick reply, but I have already tried a manual update and that does not work either. It’s almost as if there is something in the update that doesn’t agree with my site. Whatever the issue, I cannot update to 3.6.6 without the whole site coming down and me having to restore a snapshot back-up

In reply to: PHP Fatal error: Out of MemoryThanks for the advice and recommending that P3 Profiler – it helped a lot!
I’ve managed to cut down the number of active plugins from 25 to 16 (it turns out I had some multiples that were doing the same thing, or that I wasn’t actually using!) as well as getting rid of one or two that were taking up a huge amount of resource!
I know I probably have too many plugins still but they all do a job that keeps my site working how I want it to, but so far I haven’t had any white screens or error logs so hopefully the reduced number is working!
Thanks again for your help!

In reply to: PHP Fatal error: Out of MemoryHey brechtryckaert,
I have quite a few plugins running (25 in total) but the annoying thing is they all serve a purpose – they have been on the site a while as well so it’s not like they are a new feature that is suddenly running. Do you think it could be the plugins that are causing the issue? Is there anyway to ease their usage on the site or do I have to try and deactivate some?
Many thanks!

In reply to: Custom Post Types – adding to specific pagesAlso, I am using Advanced Custom Fields within the Custom Post Type and they aren’t appearing either! I have exported the Advanced Custom Fields as a .php file but I don’t know what to do next.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
