Trying this out as soon as possible! Would have never thought of this!
Deactivated! Lemme know… Thanks
repair.php found no problems ??
Got it! Accidentally put define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true); after ?> in the php file instead of before. I’m human garbage!!!
-Well I had a ‘coming soon’ plugin on but the url is prvtresidence.com. Temporarily disabled it for the next few hours.
-I’ll check out the db repair, but I’ve used this before and everything checked out so I’m not too hopeful…
-Gotta come clean with the embarrassing truth here.. I’m the guy that was hired. I’m a cocky sophomore CS student and I bit off way more than I can handle. Granted my quotes are always incredibly, incredibly cheap(sure aren’t going to draw them in with experience, yet) It’s the most stressful job I’ve ever done. I think I have to back out after I fix this issue and I am absolutely dreading writing that email.
you’ve been one of the most helpful resources I’ve gotten yet, and I’ve been dealing with this for weeks. Thanks a ton, lorro.
I’ve checked for JS errors and deactivated all plugins except WC already..
By rebuild, do you mean delete all content and restore from a backup? This is an actively used WordPress that WAS working just fine – I have no idea how this could have happened. I’m terrified to make such a big change to her site.

In reply to: WooCommerce not displaying add to cart button – What can I do to narrow down?Yeah, I tried this 3 separate times, but the support is just awful. WooCommerce is a free product and the developers just do not intervene unless you’re a paying customer. The support community is almost non existent. I’ve posted three things there now and haven’t gotten a single reply on ANY of them, even terribly broad questions like ‘where are the template files kept’. There’s just no help.. I’m very seriously a few hours away from backing out of this project. I’ve never let a client down so this is incredibly stressful.
My first encounter with WP and I have an over commercialized YITH theme to deal with.. Thanks anyway esmi, you’re always helpful.
It’s the Tyrion theme, I believe it was downloaded from https://themeforest.net/item/tyrion-flexible-parallax-ecommerce-theme/6193222
Unfortunately I wasn’t the one who bought it, my client did, so I don’t have access to their support system(she did this without any discussion) :/
I’m also new to WP in general. Is this kind of behavior – overwriting wp_posts for a theme installation – normal?
I keep trying this with different settings etc and I’m assuming I’ll need to manually re enter all posts… I don’t see a way around it
I’ve tried what you’re saying a couple times now… What I did explicitly is drop all tables in my localhost db (just to start with a clean slate) and then reimported my backup table. This deactivates the theme, which as expected makes the WordPress look awful.
SO I go to reactivate the theme, but it doesn’t look anything like how the theme should look until I activate the sample content. Here’s a lil screenshot of this page https://imgur.com/stNn5ud
Activating the sample content overwrites all the data in wp_posts !
Can I have my products AND the theme, or am I stuck having to manually re enter all products and posts?
@esmi, will that work? I looked in the database on the new current (blank) theme and it has data in the tables that I assume were put there when I installed the new theme. If I replace the database with one that went to my prior theme, won’t the theme break?
