    YOP Poll allows admins to see this in its log files. I am not pushing YOP poll, however i have just purchased the developer version of this plugin only to find its rather limited and realistically of almost no value to me. very disappointed.

    that is a pain. YOP poll have this functionality in their free version. I have had a client dump this plugin on my site because users can easily vote more than once by either switching to a different device (ie computer then to a mobile), or by changing internet connections (ie a different ip address) and then vote multiple times.

    Its quite frankly useless how it is currently.

    can you please get developers to add in restrictions by wordpress user (that is how YOP poll do it)

    Could i also add, i think that the problem may be with the plugin coding in that the query that returns values from the wordpress database is looking for fields that S2members plugin has altered.
    for example, in S2member, the user fields are not titled “user-name”. There is “user-nicename” or “meta_key_first_name” etc.

    So i suspect that this plugin needs its coding altered so that other custom shortcodes are possible which when created by the wordpress user, it automatically inserts these into the mysql query.

    Can you confirm this is the issue please?

    ok.

    More than likely the boys over at whirlpool will additionally suggest you move hosts. I wouldn’t necessarily accept this as a solution to this issue…as it may have nothing to do with it…they just have a passionate dislike for crazydomains! (me too actually).

    Anyway, I hope to read about your problem and its solution there.

    I will sign off now.

    kind regards

    So you have 100% gone into Google webmaster tools (or setup a new account and added this website to it) and 100% ensured that there are no sitemap.xml files or any urls that refer to these?

    IT is absolutely impossible for this to happen on a fresh install unless something is either still in the database, or on your server somewhere, or the pages that are returning actual content are cached!

    Can I ask, when you say you reinstalled, you completely deleted the entire wordpress database, and all files in your directory on the server, then created a new database (with a new name)?

    If you indeed have performed a completely fresh install without any possibility of the old database or directories being inadvertently utilised, then this must be a caching issue!

    One could argue some kind of masking, however, I would have thought if that was the case, then it would not show your new blank website on any of the urls I see in the google search results.

    A final question…can you outline briefly your hosting?

    Do you have VPS, shared hosting …?

    who is your host? I could look it up I suppose….oh!!!! Australian domains international! this isn’t part of crazydomains is it?

    Could I suggest that you also post onto https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/63 (this is under the IT Industry forums/Web development)

    There are some guys on whirlpool forums who are absolute geniuses when it comes to this kind of thing (particularly a guy called “Reg”). I am also on those forums (im no genius I mostly use it for help with problems myself with my hosting business), I will keep an eye out for your post and will “pm” you his details.

    A little word of warning…whilst don’t be afraid to make mention of crazy domains (if that is the network you are on), they will all tell you to move away from them as a matter of urgency.

    I am sorry I cant help further

    kind regards

    ah ok I see the references you are talking about now.

    Most of them give me “page not found errors” and the ones that don’t redirect to you new homepage.

    I also note that at the top of my google browser search results google has placed the following entry…

    Try Google Search Console
    https://www.google.com/webmasters/
    Do you own entertheraptor.net? Get indexing and ranking data from Google.

    I am fairly sure these are cached index results that are not coming directly from your website…they are cached somewhere else (ie google).

    You need to look for any files on you server, or that have been uploaded to google webmasters that have these indexes (ie something like sitemap files such as sitemap.xml or something like that). If there is no sitemap on your webserver somewhere that google has managed to find, then it must be in webmaster tools somewhere and you need to manually find and remove it.

    Just one other thing to look at, are you using cloudflare or any kind of caching like that?

    Have you used any kind of third party wordpress caching plugins that contain this kind of sitemapping on an external url somewhere that is backlinking to your site and that google is finding?

    can you provide me with the essay urls that you are referring too?

    I opened internet explorer and the search engine returns only the following for me that relates to your .net website…

    entertheraptor.net
    Making an Impact Across the Globe. Consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat.

    entertheraptor.net/about
    Services? What services? We could probably help you build a truly awesome website but it would cost you. Let’s face it, you get what you pay for.

    entertheraptor.blogspot.com
    Just kicking off my new blog. I’ll post something that’s actually worth while soon.

    Do you have a google webmasters account?

    I would go into this via your google account and try sort it from there. I haven’t the best memory of exactly where to do this and how, but I reckon that would be the place to start as what I do know, google crawlers don’t necessarily index your website just because you change your robot.txt inside public_html. Google may not index your website for days or weeks or even longer. In the meantime, a lot of this will be cached and so it doesn’t immediately disappear just because you wiped your website and started over…
    So the above is the reason for me suggesting you go to the source and attack it from that location (ie google webmasters)

    hmmm, this appears to be wordfence causing the problem.

    If i update plugins through wordfence the updates work.

    I dont know which setting in wordfence does it?

    (@computersimulatorscom)

    Might double check with your host or server admin to see what the problem is…

    you missed a part of my post…

    “I then go to a second server that i own running Centos 7 with Centos-web panel”

    What format is the archive stored in? and what hash is used?

    there is a problem with the way the above is displaying…the line
    case ‘ABC’: $currency_symbol = ‘ m3 ‘;

    should read

    case ‘ABC’: $currency_symbol = ‘ msup3 ‘;,

    I cant stop this damn forum from automatically superscripting the “3” (that is only supposed to happen in code snippets. Anyway, you get the idea.

    this is a php issue not woocommerce. Anyone who knows php should be able to help with this. In any case…I have my answer and it works brilliantly. Here it is below:

    `add_filter( ‘woocommerce_currencies’, ‘add_my_currency’,20,1 );

    function add_my_currency( $currencies ) {

    $currencies[‘ABC’] = __( ‘Currency name’, ‘woocommerce’ );
    return $currencies;

    }

    add_filter(‘woocommerce_currency_symbol’, ‘add_my_currency_symbol’, 20, 2);

    function add_my_currency_symbol( $currency_symbol, $currency ) {
    switch( $currency ) {
    case ‘ABC’: $currency_symbol = ‘ m³ ‘;
    break;
    }

    return $currency_symbol;
    }`

    Hi Andrew,
    thanks for that advice.
    I have installed the plugin and it works for wordpress menu items related to woocommerce. however, it does not work in woocommerce itself with my theme.

    I use the Avada theme with woocommerce.

    On the Woocommerce Shop page, I am trying to change the “Show 50 Products”, “Show 100 Products”, “Show 150 Products” such that the word “Products” reads as “Items” (ie “Show 50 Items” etc)

    If you’d like site administrators to be able to create snippets and manage snippets for their site, you need to enable the Snippets menu for the Enable administration menus setting on the Network Settings menu.

    Hi Shea,
    thanks for your reply, yes i had already done this, however, it still was not working.
    Eventually i also found that one has to make a change to the user privileges from the Network My Sites Dashboard>Users>”new user”> Personal Options> Super Admin>”check the box that says “grant this user super admin privilege for the network”

    This is a fundamental flaw in WordPress i think…because anyone reading that checkbox text, would automatically think that checking this box gives the administrator full network super admin access. However, in my case, when i selected that box, it did not actually give full network super admin privileges. What it did do however, was fix this problem!

    My new “site administrator” can now see the plugins menu, and also, the user is able to access the code snippets plugin itself without the error “you do not have permission to access this page”
