In style.css change Theme Name: The Cabinet™ to Theme Name: The Cabinet.

NB it wont actually be a ™ in the CSS, but the ASCII equiv. You’ll figure it out.

I’m having the same issue.

When you go into theme editor and select the theme maunally, you get the same error.

Therefore, I doubt it is an issue with read/write . I extracted to the same path as it is in the tarball.

Yep. Just remove the code along the lines of <?php get_sidebar(); ?> which gets the sidebar from the header, index.php or footer (depending on theme).
