no other redirection plugin used, as I was so impressed with this plugin I wanted to keep it under one roof so to speak.
There are a few security plugins to protect the site, not sure if they would prevent access.

I have the shortlink /go/somewebsite
I can see the shortlink when I hover over a post with the big ugly link
inserted in the link creator but I redirect to a 404 page.
Even the test button in the Link Generator sends me to 404?

I create the link mask, but the plugin does not seem to create the alias directory (mysite.com/go/)
Do I have to create this manually or is some other setting, Theme/plugin preventing this.
I tried twice with the allow other plugins to edit robot.txt?

I can only get ads to display when image is loaded on the site
i.e. https://www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/image.jpg

and not when I use the advertisers image from there site
i.e. https://www.advertisersite.com/images/advert.jpg

plus clicking the link does not go to ad site, just reopens my site.
should I try version one?

Hi, is anybody looking after this plugin??

I have never managed to get it to post ads other than the front page post.
I do not see the
Show Quicktag Buttons on the HTML Edit Post SubPanel.

and editing a post with <!–Ads1–> etc.. has never produced an ad??

If it is no longer supported can anybody suggest an alternative, please.

I just left the above message on the site and realised my post from March 2012 is still awaiting moderation, I guess the new owner is not around or disinterested. Sad, as this was a nifty wee plugin.

yes thanks its a htaccess redirect on the server to the folder, but the display name in a browsers status bar will be of course

domain_name.com/blog

Good point adiant, I gave up on their akward system and went for install in /blog.
I just think that an install looks more “profesional” with the domain name in the status bar without a folder name, but thas just an opinion. I am not sure if it harms SEO in any way.

I am trying to do the same thing. During their easy install it asks for which folder to install in. It does not seem to allow me to install to the root directory.
The do offer a use WP as home page. I therfore assume that I have to install it in a folder (say Blog or whatever) and they rewrite the htaccess to redirect to /blog/index.php
I could do a manual upload and manually creat the database!
ps I am doing this for a friends website
I abandoned any hosting that was not cPanel years ago.

I am not sure if I am talking about the same thing discussed here. But I am trying to create a sidebar menu that is static ie does not scroll with the page. such as this site.
