Inactivating didn’t work, so I uninstalled. When I reinstalled, the shortcodes were still available. See above.

@cptmurdoc, this looks like the error I was having.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, and my preexisting shortcodes were still available.

However, the specific shortcode I was having trouble with would still not behave.

The solution was simply to copy the shortcode, then it worked fine.
