In reply to: [Membership 2] Account page, Your Membership “No memberships”Hello Nastia,
Thanks for your reply.1. I have set up PayPal as the payment method (sandbox mode). I tested the sign-up by choosing a free membership, and also by choosing paid membership, and for both types, the user’s Account page indicates “No membership” — as if they did not select a membership type, at all. For either paid or free memberships, I did get the confirmation email with the link, and that link opens the Account page, where I see “No membership.”
2. Yes, Enable account verification is enabled in Settings > General. As mentioned, the verification email does get sent, and the link validates the email.
I set PayPal to sandbox before testing the paid membership. I see that I am directed to a PayPal page, anyway. Is that supposed to happen in Sandbox mode??
Weird thing – On the Account page, if I click “Change” in the Membership box, I can choose a membership again, and after that, I see the membership in the Account page.
BTW – Looking at the www.remarpro.com forum page here, I don’t see a field called “Link to the page you need help with.” ?? Maybe available only when a new topic is set up???
Your help is greatly appreciated.

In reply to: [Membership 2] Account page, Your Membership “No memberships”I have a new WP site where no real members have joined yet. I am testing the membership function by adding users on the front end.
On the front end, I create a new user ID with an email address that I own, and then I check to see what this new user ID Account page looks like.
How can I supply a link to you without exposing the site to the general public on WordPress?

In reply to: [Membership 2] How to set ‘Privacy and Policy’ link on the registration formTo add to this question:
How can I change the link label “Privacy and Policy” to say something else? I am sending users to our “Privacy Policy,” so this label looks like a typo. ??
FWIW I am using the Privacy settings under the Settings menu to select the page.

In reply to: [Membership 2] Assign membership to any new memberHello Mauroit,
I don’t know if my issue is related to what you experienced, although I am seeing members who sign up but are not given a membership.
When a new user signs up as a member they see the Account page, but their “Your Membership” box says “No memberships” even though they did sign up. One way to fix it is for the user to click the Change button, select their membership type again, and click the button to sign up – this returns them to the Account page, where their chosen membership now appears. I think most users would definitely not want to do this or even realize it is possible, especially if they previously chose a paid membership type.
I did come across something on the WPMUDEV site concerning caching. I am not able to use it as I don’t have a caching plugin on the site. You might give it a try, though.

Known Issues
Cache plugins can often interfere with plugin functionality. If your users are not being assigned memberships after successfully paying and logging into your site, check if you have object cache enabled in your cache plugin. If so, add the following to the non-persistent fields/groups?MS_Model_Membership?MS_Model_Member?MS_Model_Communication_Invoicehttps://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/membership-not-fully-assigned-in-some-cases

I’m using 3.3.4 and on one of my feeds I still have difficulty getting the thumbnail to appear (it does, it doesn’t, not clear why). The only cure seems to be choosing some other feed, but that’s a lot of experimenting, and ultimately I don’t get to use the feed I really want.
Also, I put a custom thumbnail image in, which works great for the articles with no thumbnail, but if an article has its own thumbnail that is a PNG with transparency, you can see parts of my custom thumbnail underneath. I think it should be that if there is any kind of thumbnail available from the RSS feed, that the custom thumbnail is not displayed (and not simply hidden behind the article’s thumbnail).
@justaniceguy – thanks, I’ll check that out.
Thanks for your reply.
Your link leads to an article about adding custom code. I’m a novice WP user, not a developer, so the suggested solution is not for me.
It would be a real benefit, I think, for Ultimate Member to include some admin controls for validating new user emails and restricting access.
Are there security plugins that work well with Ultimate Member?
Can you suggest security plugin(s) that would restrict users by country?
Your help is appreciated.
Hi,
On my site, I installed a plugin that created its own unique user roles.
I deactivated, then later deleted the plugin.
The two roles remain. There are no users with these roles.
Like @jenclickspring , I selected and deleted these on the User Roles screen, but they still appear there.
How do I remove these from the list?
Note: I read the following thread, and it didn’t answer my questions.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Unabel to install the events calendar 4.7.3. zip fileJust tried installing TEC today on a fairly new website.
I received a failed install notice, with an error message that said the file was already created. I used the setting to overwrite any existing copies, but got the message again. Then it indicated that www.remarpro.com was having trouble with my server, blah, blah, blah.
Unfortunately, I sent my initial question to your support ticket system and I see now that your support form does not provide a copy of my inquiry and the email acknowledgement is just a generig “we’re out of town” message. ??
Looks like this will never install correctly on my site… true?
Also, I now see that 3 days ago another user complained that TEC caused a security issue on their site.

Any help here would be appreciated.
Currently I am using Feedzy Lite and I have one link per feed, no comma-separated feeds in the categories. I found that adding multiple feeds to one category did not work, that is, it did not pull in feeds from multiple sources, only one of the specified links.
I gathered from the documentation that Feedzy Lite did not allow multiple feeds in one category but that Feedzy Pro did (so I removed any additional links).
Feedzy Lit is working better with 3.3.4, but sometimes I do not get the thumbnail image even though the article has an image.
Question to @akhasis – Which version are you using: Feedzy Pro or Feedzy Lite?
The Feedzy feeds began working better after I redid some of the links.
Some of my feeds, however, still do not consistently pull in the thumbnail images from articles that have images. I have replaced the default Feedzy logo (which is supposed to take the place of the article’s thumbnail where there is no image) with my site’s logo. I do see my logo appearing on some articles in some feeds.
So this is fixed, but not with 100% consistency. See this link for an example:
Also note that where an image has transparency (a GIF or PNG) I can see part of my default logo underneath the article’s image.
The article’s image should replace the default logo, not simply display on top of it.
Hi,
I seem to recall that you can enter multiple feed links to a category. separated by commas. For Feedzy Lite, however, it will only show one of the feeds. Whereas with the Pro version, articles from all of the specified feeds in a category would actually be displayed on the page. I cannot find a reference to this limitation (or a link to download Feedzy Lite) on the ThemeIsle site, however.
Regarding the differences between the Lite and Pro versions of Feedzy, here’s the list that appears on the WordPress plugins page:
***
UPGRADE TO THE FEEDZY PRO FOR THESE ADDED FEATURES:Integration with WordAI to avoid duplicate content
Automatically convert RSS feed items to WordPress pages & posts (feed to post)
Choice of templates to display content, including audio playback template
Automatically add your affiliate links to RSS feeds for business autoblogging
Parse and display pricing from product feeds
Control your feed: blacklist specific keywords
Unlimited support and updates from our team for the duration of your licence

“Updating to 3.4.4. did not cause my original feed link to work, however.”
Updating to 3.3.4, not 3.4.4. ??
Hello Silviu-Alex,
On my site, updating the plugin did not resolve the issue with a feed being shown as “unavailable.” I removed the feed link that was getting the error and put in a different link to another feed, and that different link worked.
Updating to 3.4.4. did not cause my original feed link to work, however.
Question: Does v. 3.3.4 address the visibility of thumbnail images in a feed? So far I have not gotten a complete answer on this. Do you know if this version addresses thumbnail image visibility also, and if not, is ThemeIsle working on it?
