oh, i got what you mean now – sorry i had no idea what ‘commented out’ meant

i’ve got the image where i want it to be but am not sure what to delete to remove the second image below. all i did initially was replace the original header_1(2,3,4,5) with the black header in the header field

when i delete line 39-50 my site goes all weird again. what do i need to delete here to remove the image below?

OMG!!!! what an enlightenment!

i’ve been wrecking my brain for almost a week trying to figure it out. the problem was i couldn’t ‘see’ it. i was trying to ‘image’ me doing the steps to get to the end position but got tangled up with the post aspect…

… i couldn’t ‘see’ how he created posts because i’m so used to posts being in the sidebar… i completely forgot you can remove the widget from showing the posts

LMFAO! this is one of those ‘stupid’ moments that i’ll laugh at in many, many years to come. it’s up there with me spending four hours removing a toilet seat (i just couldn’t get it off. eventually, i had to cut the screws off!)

i got at this position by uploading the current banner onto my hosting, replacing the original header_1 with the one on the site now

the header css section had 5 different headers – header_1, header_2, etc. so i renamed them all header_1…

…and then i did what was suggested on the stylesheet css section

ok, i’ve edited the lines in the css so now it reads

#masthead { width: 770px; /*height: 90px; background: url(‘images/logo.gif’) no-repeat;*/}

/* #masthead a { display: block; width: 770px; height: 90px; } */

the header image is still in the same place though

have i done something incorrectly?

where do i paste it on all the other pages? do i remove the existing code in the pages, or just paste this one?

i thought i could simply change the header img in my host but my site turned weird on me. how do i then change the header, after making it the same in all pages that is?

ok, just so i have things right…

* i create four pages and set them to be the menu.
* write the content i want on each page
* on the page i want to place my articles, do i create a new page for each article, and then put the anchor links of them on the ‘articles’ page? wouldn’t these pages (for each article) be placed as a menue as well?

what happened to the resolved/unresolved option to posts?
