All of the products are in stock at all times and have never been marked as out of stock, they don’t and never have had “manage stock” button clicked as these items are made to order. So that is definitely not the problem, the issue only happens when I try to add more variations to the product; if I delete the variations I tried to add it goes back to being available. Its very weird

My problem can’t be that as my customer went through their Paypal account, they were able to sign into Paypal and then was re-directed back to the website and got that error message. After we had a little play around, we discovered it was the Gift Card plug in on our site that was causing the issue, there was an update that we applied and it seemed to fix the issue

I restored my site to what it was before I updated, its back to normal now.

Yes, You have to check and make sure their payment goes through, using BACS just gives them access to your details so they can then make the payment. I am finding A LOT of my customers prefer this to Paypal these days.

I am having a sale at the moment and no one can buy as the cart stops working after so many items are added

I too am having this problem, but it is happening when 100 or more items are added, the cart page shows as empty or the page crashes. How can we fix this please

I deleted this plug in, too glitchy, no one was able to redeem their gift card on the site due to the error, its a pity, I liked it when it worked!

I used the WooCommerce one, It has over 200,000 users. I have had a few customers go and check it out for me as I have a lot of products with variations etc, and no problems at all so far. I tried changing to code on my site and it didn’t work, just came back with the Cart Empty error instead.

I also updated after I installed the new plugin and it is still working fine. So I guess we are all having different outcomes dependent on other plugins/themes we are using maybe??? I cant understand how some fixes are working for some but not others.

A couple of years ago I had to have an alternate checkout function added to my site (its the COD option that I changed the name to Invoice by Colour Cascades” due to amount of errors Woocommerce is constantly having with Paypal. I have (and have had for almost 4 years now) a message saying if you cannot connect to Paypal due to an error, please use the other option. The order would still come through and I would just send an invoice manually.

I just disable Paypal standard and added Paypal Express Checkout and it is now working perfectly. Its an easier fix than messing with the coding.
