Hi all.

Thanks for your replies. I’ve managed to solve it. I deleted the root filed, wp-admin and wp-includes and then did a fresh upload and everything seems to be working properly again.

Thanks guys. I’ve contacted 1and1 about it now via email to hopefully get it resolved, I contacted via telephone earlier but wash;t of much use.

Thanks for your reply and help. I try all your suggestions however there’s still no joy. I changed settings on one of my pluigins last night which I think was causing the problem, Role Scoper. How I don’t get the message I just get a screen that’s trying to publish the entry but not progressing any further.

Thanks for your help. After reading your reply it occurred to me that I updated a plugin this afternoon. Deactivated that plugin and it sorted it out, so have rolled back to the previous version and everything is working as it should now. Will email the plugin developers.
