Incidentally I have both SEO Pressor and the SEO plugin by Yoast on both sites using the twentyten theme and the problem has only shown up on the staircasesmanchester.com site?

Forgive my ignorance but editing css is all very new to me. I have created the child theme which worked fine and I activated it. As soon as I went back to the Twenty Eleven theme, the “fix” worked once but when I refreshed again the wording above the header came back again.

Thank you for this post. For the first time ever this newbie has:

a. Created a child theme (lots of finger crossing)

and

b. Edited as explained above to lose the top border.

The existing site is “written” with Serif WebPlus X 5. The thing is – the site works fine and the WordPress blog works fine – it’s just that I can’t link the WordPress blog from my website.

I’ve just checked and WordPress has been installed into the public.html folder – Is that OK?

means. Sorry but I’m a bit of a newbie when it comes to technical stuff. My actual website seems to be working fine?

Kmessinger – you’ve solved the problem. Although I was able to post with blogs I was using the username from my other site. I have now realised that this was the mistake.
