In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Errors with WP version 4.2,2Hi Michael!
Just on Friday I departs for my this year trip. It’s possible to have some beta version before?
Once in travel it’s more complicated to spend time in configurations.BTW This is a little off-topics but for similar reasons I use WordPress and OpenStreetMap I do not use Twitter nor Facebook, that’s mainly about privacy.
I recommend you check GNU Social, a decentralized network with a lot of enthusiasts of matters like Free Software, open source projects, etc.
This is a brief introduction
https://www.linuxveda.com/2015/06/05/gnu-social-vs-twitter/
If you can check, I’ll recommend you nodes as https://quitter.no or https://quitter.se that are more “Twitter like”.Best regards!

In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Errors with WP version 4.2,2Hi!
any news on this? Did upgrade WP to 4.3.1 and plugin to 3.4 but has the same problem.
With osm_map markers and map show fine but the CSS conflict shows my text at different colors of white text over white background. And if I change to osm_map_v3, CSS works fine but map is empty with no markers and default osm map instead cyclemap, nor orange theme…
[osm_map_v3 lat=”0″ lon=”0″ zoom=”1″ width=”100%” height=”380″ marker_name=”mic_orange_hiking_01.png” marker_height=”70″ marker_width=”33″ marker_focus=”5″ import=”osm” type=”CycleMap” theme=”ol_orange”]

In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Errors with WP version 4.2,2Hi!
I’ve changed shortcode at text widget at header. Forget the previous one I wrote.
Now menus did appeared again, while map configuration it’s lost and now I can’t see the cyclemap and my own markers. in fact no markers for geotagged post.
At https://colegota.mapamundi.info/ you can see at header a blank map.
This is the shortcode:
[osm_map_v3 lat=”0″ lon=”0″ zoom=”1″ width=”100%” height=”380″ marker_name=”../../../uploads/osm_map/favicono-mochilero-70.png” marker_height=”70″ marker_width=”33″ marker_focus=”5″ import=”osm” type=”CycleMap” theme=”ol_orange”]Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Errors with WP version 4.2,2> Can you try to show a map using osm_map_v3 on this page to see if this will solve the issue?
Sorry! How can I do it?
Not sure if you are referring to the shortcode…
[osm_map lat=”10″ lon=”0″ zoom=”2″ width=”960″ height=”480″ marker_name=”wpttemp-red.png” type=”CycleMap” import=”osm”]There is not osm_map_v3 option at widgets…

In reply to: [Yoast Duplicate Post] Can we avoid to clone date? It’s unticked by default… well I’ve found part of the problem.
I’m migrating a blog from wordpress.com to a hosted wordpress. New posts created after migration works ok, but posts proceding of import from wordpress.com does not change the date when cloned.
I do create some templates for users to make publishing easy and that templates are what I want that users clone. I suppose that create a new template draft can be a workaround if you don’t know another solution.

PS Translations still does not work? Did cheked that Spanish it’s complete but I do have english text.Same problem.

In reply to: Share files/media between subdomain and main siteFound a little hack by now.
As Ipstenu said, domain directories are visible to subdomains, and after my previous test seems that visibility depends on where you are at the moment of the reference. So if you are watching post from main domain you need url belongs to main domain and if you are reading posts from subdomain, url must contain subdomain.
Then a solution it’s to edit main domain post just after created the subdomain one. Then remove the subdomain reference at url.
If you need to use the file sample.gpx, you upolad it to public_html/gpx/sample.gpx, and use it as https://subdomain.domain.com/gpx/sample.gpx at subdomain post (the original one).
Then access main domain admin->posts and edit the replicated one removing “subdomain.” from url having https://domain.com/gpx/sample.gpx and then it works both in domain and subdomain pages.
The only drawback it’s that every time you updated posts at subdomain you need to fix url again at main domain. But that’s not so usual.
Well, it’s not perfect but can be useful while we found a better solution.
You can test it at my site. You must see blue lines (tracks) at the maps at posts, both at domain and subdomain:

In reply to: Share files/media between subdomain and main siteSubfolders should still be accessible. If you manually make a subfolder called gpx, then it will be available at *.yourdomain.com/gpx (where * is whatever your subdomain is).
Thanks Ipstenu, you are right! But this is messy. ??
I did worked at my test site pedrezuela.net and created a gpx folder so I put the file at public_html/gpx/egon-400.gpx Then it’s true its accessible via https://colegota.pedrezuela.net/gpx/egon-400.gpx and https://pedrezuela.net/gpx/egon-400.gpx also. But if I pass the subdomain URL to the plugin, then it works at subdomain post but not at main page replicated post, and if I pass the domain URL to the plugin it works in main page but not at subdomain.
I supposed then it’s related to plugin. I’ll try to contact again with his developer.
Examples at:
.- Original post at subdomain: https://colegota.pedrezuela.net/2011/01/19/prueba-marcadores/
.- Category page at main replicated blog: https://pedrezuela.net/seccion/campamento-base/This is the code passed to the plugin
[osm_map lat="-8.642" long="122.424" zoom="12" width="600" height="450" type="CycleMap" gpx_file="https://colegota.pedrezuela.net/gpx/egon-400.gpx"]
When it works (now at subdomain) you’ll see a blue line on map with the GPS trace.

PD I forget to say that there is a previous similar question one month ago. But then I’ve using RSS syndication and now I’ve changed to wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags.Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Permalinks structure (whats best for SEO)I don’t know what’s the real problem. Maybe concatenation of postname and post_id with “-” “under the same slash” (%postname%-%post_id% instead of %postname%/%post_id%).
But that’s not recommended permalinks, but those not starting with text fields. So the ones started with date fields are recommended.

In reply to: It's possible to have wildcard and normal subdomains? At first moment were replicated by RSS importing. But later edited manually to change old URL (https://colegota.example.net/gpx/xxx.gpx) to the one inside WP like https://colegota.example.net/files/2010/11/xxx.gpx
Edit: and next step will be using sitewide tags plugin for next post. Still not installed.

In reply to: It's possible to have wildcard and normal subdomains?Hi again!
I’ve tried Andrea’s hint about upload files into WP. It works OK for author’s page but fails to (replicated) main page. Those files uploaded to colegota.example.net/files/2010/11/ for colegota.example.net post seems not to be accessible from example.net main page’s replicated post.
As a little background, I’m using OSM plugin to display maps with gpx routes like here. The plugin needs to have gpx and some txt files at same domain that post.
At the previous model (multi WP instances instead multisite WP) files under colegota.example.net were accessible from example.net replicated post, but not now.Note that I also need to install and set up PJW Mime Config plugin to allow gpx and txt mime types both in main and author’s page.
Any more ideas?

Colegota
