    I got the image to display correctly, but not the text that goes above it. This is VERY frustrating. Any help to get the widget sidebars customized would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Romik, thanks for responding. I’m trying to add an image above the donation button. I also want to change the font color and family. I know how to do that in CSS, but I’m having trouble isolating the sidebar widgets so that only the left (Sidebar 2) is changed. The Html code for the donation button works perfectly, but I also wanted to add an image above it, which I am having trouble getting to display. The code is:

    <figure class=”wp-block-image”>AHeartbreakingChoiceimmg4<form action=”https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr&#8221; method=”post” target=”_top” style=”color:#0200a1;”>
    <input type=”hidden” name=”cmd” value=”_s-xclick”>
    <input type=”hidden” name=”hosted_button_id” value=”NESAE89WNTBSW”>
    <input type=”image” src=”https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donate_SM.gif&#8221; border=”0″ name=”submit” alt=”PayPal – The safer, easier way to pay online!”>

    </form></figure>

    It does display the figure now (have never used figure in straight HTML, but I guess that’s the format for WordPress?) BUT…I want the donate button to display over the top of the image. I know that can be done using CSS, but for the life of me I am having a difficult time with finding WHAT class to put it in for the Sidebar widget.

    Any help on the correct class to put the CSS for the font color and styling for sidebar two would be greatly appreciated.

    Alternatively, if I can delete the three footer widgets, I believe it will alleviate the blank space issue, can anyone tell me how to delete or deactivate the footer widget areas?

    I STILL need to know how/where to change the link color on hover of the the footer copyright area. Any info on what class that is in the CSS? I’ve tried using the Inspect tool, and tried all the classes shown around the footer, but it doesn’t work on hover. Any help would be appreciated.

    I use “Inspect” all the time to view the CSS from my operational (Live) website. I’m trying to re-work it into a WordPress version so that it can be maintained “easily” (note: by someone who doesn’t know HTML, CSS or ASP.Net.) The problem I’m having is that inserting some “simple” CSS into the Customize>>Advanced Options>>Additional CSS doesn’t change the things I need it to change. I.e., I want the header text and tagline CENTERED over the top of the Header background image. I have it working PERFECTLY in my ASP.Net site, but for the life of me, I can’t get it to work in WordPress! It’s driving me nuts! I guess the main question I need answered is WHERE do I put the custom CSS to MAKE it work? It absolutely does NOT work in the “Additional CSS” section! Any help on WHERE to place my custom CSS code would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Question to the Developers of Hueman…I used this theme a few years ago, and it had an AWESOME Customize dashboard. You could customize EVERYTHING! From the font size, to the header width and height, to the number of columns on the page, to – well, everything! It had a great interface, (not the stupid one that comes with WordPress) but a seperate one that allowed you to FULLY customize the site. What happened to that customizer?

    I’d really like to be able to change the header height, make the title text (and tagline) centered and overlaid on TOP of my logo. It’s relatively easy to do in CSS, but I don’t see where to change the CSS for JUST the header in this theme. Can you PLEASE point me in the right direction to customize the CSS in this theme?

    Thanks!

    Thanks, it does, but now I need to center it over the TOP of the logo, with the tagline below it. The header area needs to be just a little bit taller (height) where can I go into the CSS and change the header height, center it, and change the font family? Thanks for any help, it is greatly appreciated.

    How could it have been hacked? How would I know? Besides, the site WORKS, except that I can’t upload or view any of my images. I believe this happened after I updated the theme (Hueman) and until yesterday, I had not been to my website. The truth is that I was widowed in January, and this site was a way to work through the grief, on the blog. I haven’t written any blog posts since the end of August, until yesterday, when I went to update it. That’s when I found all the errors.

    The last time I worked on it in August, I ‘updated’ everything that showed that needed to be updated. It ‘seemed’ to be working, but I hadn’t been back to check until yesterday. Like I said I haven’t TOUCHED anything in ANY of the .php files, all I did was select ‘update’ and wham – I have errors everywhere!

    How do I FIX this?

    Yes – I thought I did – sorry it didn’t go through here is the link:
    My writing
    But now – it seems to be working. It’s an on-again, off-again thing, which is really weird, because this is the first time I’ve pulled up that page that it has worked.

    Hi BD, thanks for responding. Yes, as a matter of act the ads are on the Main Page, and all of the posts pages, but not on this page:
    and I can’t figure out why that is the only page it is not working on. I have it set up the same as the other pages, and they all work…so I’m at a loss. Thanks for any help you can give, it is very appreciated.

    I was able to get the duplicate footer ads corrected, but I still can’t figure out why the ad will only display on the front page and the Posts. I just checked, and ow the adsense footer is not displaying on any other “Pages.” So I checked the settings on the widget – “Ad Inserter” which allows me to put the code for my ads into several different ads and then insert the desired short-code into a widget for the side bar or footer. I placed it in a text field in the Footer Ads (Footer Ads Area) and it doesn’t work! I am confused.

    No, the plugins/widgets did not show the plugins I had previously installed. So what I did was to go to my file manager and delete the directory folder for each of the plugins that I needed to re-install. Once I did that, when I re-installed the pugins, it worked – AND – amazingly, all my code that I had placed in the Ad Inserter, was still there! So it looks like it’s all working now. It’s not perfect, but I’m still working on it. The footer ad is working though and so are the featured images for my posts, so I think we can consider this thread completed. I will mark it as resolved. Thank you SO Much for all of your assistance!

    Now that I have installed the Child theme – it overwrote all of my widgets. which would be fine, because i know that if I make any customization to the main theme, when the theme is updated, it will overwrite all of my changes. However, now when I try to add widgets to the side bar (specifically ad inserter) that widget isn’t available. So I went back to the “Add Plugins” to re-install it, but the install failed because the ad inserter plugin already exists in the folder – BUT I can’t find it under widgets OR in the Installed plugins! Erm…help!

    Thank you bdbrown, I appreciate all of your help. And I don’t mind the hi-jacking, although his issue wasn’t exactly the same as mine, if he got the assistance he needed then it’s all good. ??

    I do have a question before I add i the code you gave me. I DID download and install the child theme – thank you! However, I’m not really sure if the code will do what I want. I don’t want the add to be in the footer of the sidebar, I want it directly above the Footer section of the entire theme; i.e., Footer Options Screen Shot as you can see in this screen shot of the Theme options > Footer > Footer Ads I’d like the bottom footer to be one long, solid banner ad. Will the code you gave me do that?

    Thanks again for all of your assistance, it is greatly appreciated.

    I was able to place the Adsense code snippet in the bottom of the page, but not the footer. I did go to Appearance> Themes> Theme Options> Footer, but there is no place to paste the adsense code. Plus, I dont’ really want it IN the footer (where the copyright info is) I want it at the bottom fo the page, on every page and post – directly above where the recent posts section is. Is there a way to do that, other than actually placing the code on every page manually? I’m sure I’m missing something simple…

    Thanks for your help.

    Thank you bdbrown, sitting the “Featured Image” worked ??

    No I just need to figure out why the Google Adsense in the footer is not working. I will work on that tomorrow and let you know if I can get it to work following your instructions. Thank you.
