Well, I tried this. So far, it does NOT work. I tried creating a test post, copied the short code, pasted it into the page I was trying to put the post in, and nothing… no test post shows up. Are there detailed instructions for this somewhere? I’ve followed the ones I found here: https://wpshowposts.com/

Hi Ian, thanks for the response. I went and watched the video on the link you sent. I don’t think this is what I’m looking for. It didn’t show that you can write a post and choose what PAGE to put it on. I’ll check out the plugin, but if that video is what it does – I didn’t see where you write a post and select a page to put it on.

I need to be able to write a post and assign it to a particular page. In other words, I write a post and when I publish it, I need to be able to select the page that it shows up on and that’s that. It SHOULD be simple.

Thank you. I’ll check out the premium version. ??

YEs, I just don’t want the same sidebar layout on one section of my pages as I do on the rest. Is that ONLY possible with the premium theme, or can I have two sidebar layouts with the regular theme?

Thank you. Can it be done using the Premium version?

Thanks Romik. I the only reason I asked is because you are the one who suggested I try the MMM plugin, so I thought you might know of another menu plugin that might work. Thanks anyway.

Hi Romik ns everyone, Happy New Year.

Okay, I was able to get the MMM drop down menus to work correctly for my main horizontal menu, however, they don’t work for the left hand side accordion drop down menus. I need a menu that will collapse to ONLY the main category, but open to a flyout dropdown menu when you hover over the categories (please see the left-hand menus on the current website: https://www.aheartbreakingchoice.com/

I’ve had some correspondence with the MMMM forum moderator, and he said that the MMM won’t work in that manner. (sigh.) Do you have a suggestion for a menu plug in that WILL work in that manner? Your help would be greatly appreciated Thank you!

    Hi Megmenu, thank you.

I have cleared my cache, and the colors do now match what I have my menu settings as, but I guess I’m not understanding what/where I need to disable the setting of “Remove query strings from static resources” – the link you sent doesn’t show me anything from doing an “Inspect” (which I do regularly to check my CSS and HTML) so I’m sorry but I’m not understanding what/where I need to change that. IF you could let me know what you are referring to, I would greatly appreciate it so I can get this fixed correctly.

I do appreciate your assistance very much, it does look like the menu is now working correctly on my iPad, so that is very helpful, thank you.

Okay, now it’s enabled. How do I change the colors back to the blue I had?

I have (had already done this) changed all the background colors in the general, Mega, Flyout, and Custom styling to use the blue background color, saved it and it STILL doesn’t work. How do I change it?

Here is a snap shot of my iPad with the drop down menu issues…

    Snapshot of iPad

I tried to change the theme to the 2019, but it totally screws up the entire look of the website to just change the theme, so there is no way to test it against the theme theory. However, from the screenshot I posted of my menu settings, you can see that I DO have the MMM menus active and and I believe the menu is the issue, not the evolve theme.

    Thanks!

    Thank you Romik.

I’m not sure what you mean about the show menus/pages as widgets on hover.

I did however, discover that I AM definitely using the MMM…here is a screen shot of the menu settings on my website:

I’ve double checked and YES my site IS using the MMM plugin. Here is a link to the screen shot I just took showing that I am using the MMM plugin.

Thanks, but, yes I AM using the MMM menu, I just changed the color of it in my CSS. But I will post about the top menu on the evolve support forums.

What about the menu in my left hand sidebar? That IS most definitely using MMM, and it DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY! How do I get the submenus to ONLY display when clicked on or hovered over?

    Thanks Romik.

I had the entire website moved (Duplicated) to a new domain name. Once it was completely moved over, even with the Gutenberg activated, for some reason the New Page/Post is now working on the new domain name: aheartbreakingchoice.org – seems to be working now. I am not sure why it stopped working under the previous domain name, but I have completely cleared that domain name and will be rebuilding it (again.) I am having a different issue now – but will post under a new thread, since it is not related to this one. Thank you for all of your help, it is VERY Appreciated.

For anyone with this problem – I honestly do not know what caused the problem, or why it was resolved when the website was moved to another domain – but it seems to work fine under the new domain.

Which user ID? The one for aheartbreakingchoice.org, or the one for my www.remarpro.com account? That is the question…thanks.
