for anyone coming along with similar issues, i solved the problem by hitting the lost password link on the log in page. a new password was sent by email. this time i received it, and using this new password i was able to log on.

lol i have no idea why this worked – but it did.

i’m running the latest wordpress. i use bluehost. not sure about the details.

i’ve just got some delayed email telling me i changed the password for the new user etc. but i still can’t log on.

i’ll keep at it. thanks again.

it wouldn’t be a case sensitive problem. i created the password, and then tried to log on with the new user name and password i created. no go.

thanks, i’ll play around with adding users to subscriber level, then bumping them up. i’m just trying to avoid allowing too much access to my site.

curious, what’s it take to get a reply? i just looked at my profile history. in this wordpress “help” forum i’ve asked 5 questions over the last year and none were answered.

ya, i created a separate page entitled “articles” in the admin (write page) and added links to all my postings.
