We’ve just pushed version 2.0.1 which will fix this issue, it was brought up last week, we had to run some tests to find the solution, which we’ve just released.

Thanks for bringing this up. We are aware of the limitation of using CSS to hide the content, but we haven’t yet found the best solve for it which still supports interactive Gutenberg blocks (like sliders, carousels and other elements)

We are however, working on a quicker and more reliable initialisation so that the flash of content isn’t an issue, that’ll be included in the next version of the plugin.

Hey there,

We are going to release an update for the issue, but in the mean time what you can do is this:

• Go to Appearance > Customize
• Click on Coil Web Monetization > Options
• Check OFF Show a donation bar on posts that are monetized and public.
• Click Publish
• Check ON Show a donation bar on posts that are monetized and public.
• Click Publish
• That should solve the issue of the popup no displaying. It should default to ON but it seems that’s broken at the moment.
