Can you please tell me some more about what happened? What I would like to know is:

1. How did you update the plugin? By FTP or from within WP plugins page?
2. Did you try to use slider themes from version 2.5.4 in FA 3.0?
3. When exactly did the page crash?

As a note, slider themes from previous version aren’t compatible with current 3.0 version.
Please let me know, I will do my best to help you out with this issue.

There shouldn’t be any link displayed with sliders, there’s no branding, link or image in front-end related to CodeFlavors other than links to your posts.
Would it be possible to allow me to see this? URL or something? Thank you.

Theme Simple doesn’t work like Classic did. It’s a responsive theme that will display the image at 45% from your slider width and 80% of its height. The image will stretch to the container size. The image size you use in slider settings will only determine the image quality, not its actual size into the slider.
Try setting a larger image size in your slider settings and see the difference.

Sorry for the delay, we don’t actively monitor the forums here. We just released version 3.0, a complete rewrite of the plugin fully compatible with WP 4+, previous version (2.X) will be dropped completely from now on.
