You can mark threads in ‘your’ plugin tag as resolved IF and only if they created it right. If they added the tag later, you can’t. It’s a weird thing.

Perhaps, because that relates to another plugin, only that plugin’s author / thread creator can close.

They’d have to look either way, you know. Marking resolved doesn’t notify anyone.

Yeah the purpose of marking resolved is to make the bug list clean, so users know which ones were taken care of, which are still open. We are not expecting to notify them, but future users to look at that “saying” list.

Yeah, so I guess it is where you come with “loathe”. I’d loathe myself but I have to keep bug list clean.

I would add that some support forums auto mark thread close if it is two weeks from last response.

Strange, because we can change it for almost every other support threads.
You and I may have different look at it. With our process, we mark it resolved, then if user does not reopen it by reply, then it is considered resolved, especially when user just report it, and didn’t check at post notify option, so he has no ideas when it is fixed.

Plugin support, is different with this forum, have you supported any plugins anyway?

Yes, I admit, I care about myself top most (OK, if you do not, then what do you care most about?). Then my family who need me to make their living.

Then I care about my customers / users.

First priority is customers who pay in contracted projects.
Second is users donate or not. Don’t call them customers. They are not buying our service. They are free to use, free to report bug, free to get it fixed, free to donate or not.

And answer to my question(s), if you want a healthy discussion between mature men.

Develop a free plugin, place a Donate button and see how that works for you, you will see how your advice applies.

I could be wrong in setting my priorities, but I don’t worry too much, it is working for me.

Multisite is not an issue with this.
Please download latest version and try again. Use Firefox and turn on Error Console (Ctrl + Shift + J) and let me know if you see any errors / conflicts with other plugins.

For WP 3.x default theme you might need to use Sidebar Template when editing a page to have widgets displayed.
We have it works properly on https://pagewidget.codeandmore.net/wp3.3/?page_id=4
with Theme Twenty Eleven on WP 3.3.1
(login with pagewidget / dev)
