Thanks for confirming this Originalmanz.
Yes, we have been corresponding directly with USM on it. Its not just the URL, its also, the description. Our description become thousands of characters long, complete with tags less the lt/gt brackets and it was overriding the Yoast SEO description on Facebook. We had to temporarily disable the plugin so as not to destroy our SEO rankings and Facebook posts.
However, we like the plugin and hope to re-enable it once there is a fix.
Ps. We have the update it didn’t help and that’s actually when we noticed the description problem as well.

In reply to: My site is slowI think it’s your design. You have huge images loading up for a slide show and then you are going to load up all those images for your products on your homepage too? Not only is it slow, but its going to get much, much, much slower by the time you are all done. Images take time to download. You have to optimize them and deliver them in increments.
You can’t get everything done on just one page: your home page.
That’s “ping” not pink. lol sorry. It was late last night.
I still think its the server. Its not the network to the server because you pink back at 32 mseconds which is VERY fast from the US to the UK. Where the website hosted and how many websites are on that server?
When I test it half the time is spent loading up the main page.

In reply to: Getting rid of website URL when Sharing a post to FacebookFacebook automatically shows a thumbnail any time you put a url up. You can disable it for yourself but that’s it.
You can try and disable
<meta property=”og:url” content=”https://www.driftmouse.com” />and see if you can confuse Facebook.

In reply to: Paypal issues with WordPressvmfarrington…that’s really the way PayPal works reliably which use to be call “express checkout”…your customer logs into PayPal to verify themselves FIRST. That’s why they call it express…lol (I think it’s a marketing twist) Their old way called PayPal “standard” is not reliable because a hacker can do all sorts of things at the end like call up multiple browsers and create multiple payments and things.
You may find other plugins doing essentially the same thing although it might be delayed.

In reply to: More Than One OG URL SpecifiedThanks Clorith. We are only using Yoast SEO,Ultimate Social Media Icons,Akismet,Ninja Forms,Display Widgets,Facebook Conversion Pixel,Jetpack by WordPress.com.
My gut is that’s it’s SEO because these sort of content are typically SEO functions.
So Disabling and re-enabling won’t break even more things?
I did have to add something to functions.php for the plane theme to get it to but the og:image tag in there.
It took nearly 7 seconds to load your page, but you get a good grade. It looks more like a network/webserver issue.

You have the WordPress SEO plugin just like us. I really have a feeling this is the culprit.

In reply to: Images Not Appearing While Sharing On FacebookAre you using an SEO plugin perhaps that might be “rewriting” these search engine optimizing values and you are leaving them blank?
We have a similar problem where the og:url is being rewritten somewhere (we believe)…it might be a plugin that’s the culprit but finding which one can be difficult. Our “gut” tells us in our case its an SEO plugin. You could have the same problem.

In reply to: Site hacked – Want permanent removal…how? Most likely the cause was your username and password got hacked on your hosting site. Assuming you installed the WordPress blog via GoDaddy or some other hosting company, you basically could delete your entire subdirectory that holds the wordpress content. Also your hosting control panel might have an “uninstall” button that simply uninstalls that feature and thus deletes all that for you.
However, this is making an assumption based on guessing the answer to Schulte’s question above. His question is important because he helps us know “where” your blog “is”. You could also post the blog name url and folks could figure out where it is.

In reply to: "no" logo optionI posted in the other forum, they told me this was the right forum, then you tell me the other forum is the right forum. So now you tell me its the right thread but provide no answer to my question. No problem someone else answered the question in the “wrong” thread.
I wasn’t promoting. I was informing someone about “WHY” the problem is occurring. Kinda like someone complaining that they have to keep putting horse shoes on their horse but they have to get to town to buy groceries…and someone suggesting they buy a Ford…and the person saying don’t promote Ford in my thread about horse transportation.
Anyway, you may as well delete this thread now because I got the answer in the wrong forum.

In reply to: "no" logo optionWe have both….
I understand now there are 2 different places. Its confusing “at best”. I was told, however, THIS is the right place to post questions for “self-hosted” themes, is that NOT true?I’m not promoting…I’m asking a question. I put the URL’s in there so people could “reproduce” the problem. That is generally how “the rest of the world” does it. Going to the url, allows you to see EXACTLY the problem I’m talking about it and to replicate it. If you are in software, I’m sure you know what “replication” is and “test case” right?
