Hi @metteonline, I would ask your host about the open_basedir setting. Usually we don’t see such issues. Since this folder is under your uploads folder it shouldn’t be causing problems, but it obviously is. So let your host know about this and see if they might have some suggestion.
Hi @peoplesgeek, how did you disable and uninstall the plugin? Did you actually do so from the admin dashboard, or did you just delete the files?

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Log Error “SIGHUP”Hi @lokmancu,
Regarding your filename error, I don’t know of any plugins to shorten them. But that indeed would be the best solution.
Regarding the warning, is your execution time still at 25 seconds? It looks like it’s getting stuck while generating your zip file. What’s the total size of your files?
Hi @ryankanwal, glad it works. No there won’t be a problem, as long as you have the files and database backed up. We’re going to work on improving the XML export to hopefully prevent such problems.
You can go here to leave a review ??

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Manage Backup ArchivesHi @raysummers, just to update this, I’m going to include a fix in the next version that I think should resolve this.
Hi @fdeitelhoff, sorry for the late response myself. Are you able to use the built-in WP exporter to export your posts? BackWPup just uses
get_bloginfo_rss
, so any error is in that function, though I’ll look for ways of improving this. But if you’re unable to export via BackWPup, then I would guess that you’d also be unable via WP exporter. If not, please let me know, or confirm either way.Hi @benutzerfreund, @bella208’s solution should work, or else I would contact your web host about why you’re unable to access wp-cron via your own script. Have you tried contacting them?

In reply to: [WP Hide Post] JS Error Causes WP Editor Toolbar to DisappearHi @rmahfoud, I know what you mean, but again when I disable your plugin, then the toolbar appears. So something else seems to be up.
I’m happy to give you access. Is there a way to contact you privately?
Hi @kevdog98, this sounds like a .htaccess issue, or some webserver misconfiguration. Are you able to go to your wp-cron with your browser?
Hi @daminator, do you know approximately how many posts you have on the WordPress site that is not working? I believe as the XML file gets bigger, this tends to happen more, but we are trying to debug where exactly it gets hung up.
Hi @papoum, sorry about the delay in responding. I cannot find why a large database would not be able to be backed up. If you’d like us to take a look personally at your setup, feel free to email us at support [at] backwpup.com with the following:
- Credentials for a user with the BackWPup Admin role
- FTP credentials
Then we’ll be happy to take a look and hopefully track it down quickly.
Hi @webby1973, very glad to hear it’s working again. ??
