I agree with you. IN fact, I don’t even want captions to appear unless I want them to… as it is right now I have to manually delete the caption code for each and every photo I put in a blog post and I put in a lot of photos on my blog. So unless I’m missing something as far as the automatic captioning goes, I don’t like how it’s been implemented at all.

I have Googled and looked at the codex. I have not been able to apply what I found to my site and make it work.

I’m actually looking for someone to give me the solution. Sorry to be so blunt, but that’s the truth.

My initial comments were made only 19 hours ago and WebGeek has already issued two revisions of the wp-spamfree plugin. I’m sitting here just amazed by that and just had to make this additional comment even though I just posted a minute ago.

I’ve just got to hand it to WebGeek, he listens to feedback and reacts almost instantly. He has addressed the issues I noted and fixed them. Not only that, but he’s added some additional configuration options which is great! 5 stars!

Well, I see your point to a certain extent but then again, if using the defaults, WP could make the assumption that all images would be in the uploads directory. So what is with the attachments option then in the import dialog?

You know what’s frustrating about this particular error is that it is caused by the extra blank lines that are in the wp-config-sample.php file that is provided with the default installation of WordPress. This has caused so many people headaches, me included. I spend literally hours trying to figure out what the problem was until I finally discovered from the forum that it was the blank lines at the bottom of the config file causing the error. Geesh.

Hmmm, well I have good news. I discovered the issue was my Computer Associates Firewall was to blame. Apparently the AJAX thing in Gallery is considered an ad or pop-up window or something because when I added my URL to the exclusion list of my firewall, the Gallery started operating normally on the PC.

So folks, if you are experiencing this funkiness in Gallery and Media Library, make sure you check that your Firewall isn’t blocking something

Hmmm, thanks but not quite right for me. What I did find was that tinymce-advanced plugin has table functionality and also lets you use image browser to insert images into table cells. A much better solution than wp-table. But still, not the ultimate solution for me. Until I find better though, tinymce-advanced will hopefully suffice.

Anyone else with ideas, please chime in. Basically I need to create a table-like page with images and corresponding descriptions and prices.

This is marked as resolved, but there is no resolution posted here. I have the same need… I need a hard coded link that appears in the menu. What is the method to do this?

I could not be more unhappy with the “new” admin. Yuck. Wastes valuable space with blank space. The admin page is too tall. It’s too big. As if designed for people with failing eyesight. I do not like it at all. Current Admin is much better from a practical user interface point of view.
