In reply to: Did something stupidJust a quick question, the reason i did this in the first place was because the login page looked different.
Everything was left aligned, the input boxes where square (like windows classic) with times new roman font and the logo was instead a large blue underline text that said powered by wordpress and was clickable.
Thats why i was concerned it was a phishing site.
Has anyone had this before?
thanks,

In reply to: Did something stupidFiroz you legend! thankyou it worked mate.
Now do i need a new .htaccess file?
I renamed it .old_htaccess and a new one hasn’t been made.and do i just reinstall plug-ins like normal? or should i copy what plugins i need to a new plugins folder?
and how does this affect the data from the plug-ins that is still in the database?
Thankyou for everyones help!

In reply to: Registration and contactIve been doing a bit more researching. i have an SSL certificate for my site that encrypts user to server.
Then ive found a plugin called WP mail SMTP that can send emails securely via gmail, yahoo etc
If i use this plugin, the outgoing emails from my site will be secured by using the softare provided by gmail or yahoo or whatever i select.
is my understanding correct?
to ask my question in simple terms; if ‘bobs fish&chips’ had a site with a contact form what security wolud he be required to implement?
thanks again
