Ok. I was putting in the exact full link that showed in Google SERP’s (without the added https since that is how they are indexed in Google). Actually removing everything except the page name fixed it – though I am 100% certain I had tried that before. Could it have been an issue with propagation? The site had just gone live at the time as well.

What is odd is that the bg color will change, but I cannot get the font color or even text decoration (underline) to happen.

I pasted this and similar code (at other times) to the additional CSS section of my theme, but nothing changes (cleared cache and all).
