In reply to: [Unite] Unite Slideshow Won't WorkThis makes sense @jcrowder01 thank you for taking the time to respond. I’m still hoping to hear from Unite theme author @silkalns to get his input on a possible fix.

In reply to: [Unite] Unite Slideshow Won't Work@jcrowder01 the NextGen Gallery plugin made my homepage slideshow not work. If you visit https://www.habitatriverside.org and see the slideshow working, it’s because I disabled the plugin.

In reply to: [Unite] Unite Slideshow Won't WorkHere’s an update from the NextGEN Gallery people and their thoughts about their plug in affecting the Unite theme: the Unite theme appears to be using a very old version of jQuery which may be what its slider is relying on.
Activating NextGEN Gallery will take the used jQuery version requirement up to the current version bundled with WordPress (1.11.0 versus 1.4.2 pulled from your theme).
The two versions may be conflicting in this case. I would suggest checking with the theme author to see if they plan to follow WordPress Best Practices and use the bundled version of jQuery in their theme rather than including and using a very old version from their files.
@photocrati Thank you for the quick response Cais, if I am able to update the forum with my findings, I will.
Sincerely,

In reply to: [Unite] Unite Slideshow Won't WorkUpdate: I just deactivated my NextGEN Gallery plug-in and now my slideshow is working. Any ideas on what NextGEN is doing to the Unite theme?

In reply to: [Unite] Unite Slideshow Won't WorkA recent development: My Unite Slideshow on the homepage will not advance to the next slide and it doesn’t have the small circles indicating there are more than one slide in the slideshow. When I click on the advance button, the homepage refreshes with a # at the end of the URL.
I’ve verified all of the image URLs and the links. Currently the slideshow options have 5 slides to rotate through.Website: https://www.habitatriverside.org

In reply to: WHOIS record says not a valid domain or IP addressHere’s an update, but things are still shaky.
I registered with DomainTools for a free 7 day trial to use their hosting history function. I found the name server while the website was up (asmallorange) and saw the change to Melbourne IT’s name server (Secure.net) when the website went down. I switched the name server back to ASmallOrange and the website is back up…hooray! I can pull the website up on my PC and Droid phone, but I cannot pull the website up on an iphone. I will wait a full 24 hours in case the DNS records need further updating. Also, the URLs of the pages in the website are named differently and Google is not returning a neat, categorized result when I search for the website.
I’ve marked these questions as resolved and will start a new thread in case the website does not pull up on the iphone in 72 hours and I cannot find the website in Google.
