Also, upon missing the update, no error message is given- no “missed update” message like I read about in another thread, and manually clicking publish will successfully update the page without incident.

Thanks very much for testing my site with your devices! I appreciate your feedback greatly! I have been doing a lot of tweaking and testing as I began to suspect that there was some conflicting java code in there; as of today, the only device I am still unable to get my jplayer to stream on correctly is my new Note 5. All the older devices I test with from the immediately previous generation and backwards seem to be functioning correctly now. Thanks again for the feedback! Cheers!

Hello, I also am experiencing similar problems since the latest update.

I’ve been using jPlayer to relay a Shoutcast feed on one of my client’s websites for about the past year and also have playlists of On Demand Content on the site as well.

Since the latest update, the playlist players in the On Demand section continue to work as expected; but the main player which relays the stream seems to only be able to successfully play on Desktop devices. I’ve tried both Chrome and the native browser on my Samsung Note 5 and my old Note 4, Safari on an iPhone 5, and also the android application that I am developing which contains a webview of the site.

At one point about 6 months ago, I had to troubleshoot an issue within the android application that caused users to have to pause then restart the stream before it would play, in that instance I was missing onPreparedListener to ready the source for playing. This problem seems to me to be somewhere along those same lines; and interestingly, I was successful in connecting to the Shoutcast stream one time by alternating pause and play on my Note 5 Chrome browser, but haven’t been able to replicate the success afterward. I still haven’t a solid clue as to what is causing the problem or how to address it. Might it have something to do with the new settings perhaps? Any insight you could offer would be greatly appreciated Simon!

    * The demo page players also function correctly on the mobile devices I used for testing
