Hmmm, I just realized you guys are right on the pop-up being active on every click. I need to sort this out, maybe some JavaScript event to disable it until page exit. I think this is due to the Flash animation because I have it running in other pages and it behaves the way is supposed to, showing up only on page exit.
I will take away the music… I just have some much work that I need to find some time to dedicate to this. Thank you everyone, that’s all I wanted to hear ??

Hey jdembowski, thanx for the feedback. You are right, the validation problems are something I need to deal with. It was alright before I started using the Facebook Connect that requires a different document type to make it work with IE, and after the change I started getting all those errors.

Alright, two votes to get rid of the music and the pop-up. Now… how about the design and the rest of the theme? Do you think is too small, too crowded, simple… anything else?

Wooow! despite the angriness of your words I thank you for your feedback. I was expecting something more constructive but anyways…
I will look into this. I would like to clarify that the music is part of the top animation and it lasts for just about 7 seconds but if you don’t like it I understand.

If you are having issues with the sociable plugin I can tell you that the problem is not the plugin, is the theme you are using. As said above you need to add to the header the following:

<html xmlns=”https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml” xmlns:fb=”https://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml”>

Also you should review the theme’s CSS, header.php and footer.php coding.
If you are still having issues with the plugin post the link here so taht we can take a look.

Mine is running with no issues at https://www.carlosmariomejia.com/blog

Saurus and Iridiax, many thanx for that. I don’t know why I didn’t thought about this simple solution before; it works now!!! The link was not an issue from the beggining, I edited the files and hard coded it.

Thank you again ??

Nobody…?

Moshu:

Looking for something on Google I came up to this post and couldn’t resist to reply.
Abu’s Intentions are legitimate. For all those who don’t know seearch engines are known for giving certain weight to URLs… of course content is more imortant but if the way to reach your content is minated with strange symbols in the URL (example catID=SEQ=11653578166471152006) the page indexation is going to be slower and sometimes ignored…
Search engines are computers and they need to save “cycles” because they need to index all the web… imagine how much work they have!! They don’t have time to start guessing what your page is all about… the simpler for them to find what they are looking for the beter for your indexation.
To answer Abu’s question… depending on your intentiions you can use one or the other. If you are planning to develop a full section with “related links, quotes, types of cars, differences between the cars, etc” based on the “Honda Civic” term you can create a folder named “honda-civic”, but if you don’t have enough content go with the “honda-civic.html” URL…

Hope this helps,

Cmariomej
