In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Disappearing Post ContentHi Andreas, it is very kind of you to respond here. I really would like to figure this out. I had found this solution and tried it, but for whatever reason, it had no effect for me.

In reply to: [Post Notification] [Plugin: Post Notification] Notification of post updates?Nothing helpful there. I think this requires a special plug-in. I do have Genesis eNews and Updates with a Feedburner account, but it only notifies of new posts, not updated. Not even if a post is unpublished and republished.
The site is FrictionFactor.com.

In reply to: WordPress forums are ineffective?Samuel B, ClaytonJames,
Good points, both of you. As I learn more and run into questions where I can help, I’ll be pleased to do so. ClaytonJames, are you sure the forum managers and moderators in the StudioPress forums are paid? That certainly makes a difference. It’s still impressive support even at that, but you make an excellent point.
One of the things I am striving to do is to help reduce friction in our lives collectively. And recognizing contributors from others seems a good thing. It could also be seen as self-serving and there is an element of that, but it’s also a voluntary service. Maybe there are bloggers who are actually realizing ad revenues; I’ve added ads to mine, too, though I have little hope it will ever rise to anything above pennies.

In reply to: What is causing the blog's poor performance?Dailysurvivalgear,
One of my favorite plugins is Faster Image Insert. It was a thoroughly aggravating experience to have to insert images one at a time into my blog. What a waste of time! I couldn’t believe WordPress hadn’t already provided a solution. Now…it’s a piece of cake to upload a batch of images from my computer, change the settings of each as desired (size, position, caption text, etc.) and insert them all at once into a post. I love it. Then I move them to the desired place for each image in my post. For that I use the CoffeeCup HTML editor because I edit my posts locally in HTML and them copy/paste them into the WordPress HTML editor box. I don’t use WordPress’ WYSIWYG editor or associated plugins because it tries to be too “helpful”.
