Sorry no its not resolved. Just other things in life have distracted me from chasing this up (you know: 4 kids, school holidays, Christmas preparations. ??) This issue very much still persists.
I will give a thorough description including screenshots after Christmas.
Thanks!
When testing it out, when you change the country from Australia to any other country, the product prices of taxable produxt drop to remove the tax as you would expect, the nontaxed products prices stay the same as you would expect. It’s the TOTAL calculation that is wrong.
Yes that’s just the very problem. In the above scenario I put both products at the same price but of course one is not taxable and the other one has part of the price is tax and the other part is a tax exclusive price.
Thus the total is calxulatinf
Product 1 is $2.20 but there is no tax thus when tax is not charged, that product shouldn’t change in price no matter where the buyer is. But basically the total is being calculated as if nontaxable prices are actually taxable.
Hi Hannah!
Thanks for your response!
Tax is set up to zone (ie Australia) specific. So Tax is applied to products according to the billing address of the customer.
Woocommerce is set up as “prices are entered including tax”.
So if a customer puts in their cart…
– a $2.20 untaxable product (of which no tax is charged)
– a $2.20 taxable (of which $0.20 tax is included in the price)If the customer’s billing address is in Australia: their subtotal and total at checkout would say “$4.40 (inc. $0.20 tax)”.
If a customer’s billing address is outside Australia (then by Australian law, tax is not required to be charged) and thus the Subtotal SHOULD say “$4.20” (the complete price of the untaxable product plus the price of the taxed produxt without the tax). However instead it says “$4” – removing the tax from the taxable product but also appearing to remove a tax component from the untaxable product.
Is that clearer?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Just updated to Version 2.5.2 and now can't login to admin areaSo you know, I’ve also had troubles with logins using IE since updating to the new WooCommerce. I can login fine with Chrome but it just reloads the My-Account page when I try to login with IE. I’ve tried the code above just in case but no love.

In reply to: [WooCommerce POS - Point of Sale] Product types?ooo here’s a thought – have you thought of hooking in your “print” option with plugins like “WooCommerce Print Invoice & Delivery Note” – ie your “Print” function could simply call the same function in that (or similar plugin) thus people’s invoices look the same no matter how the sale was completed – online or in person.

In reply to: [WooCommerce POS - Point of Sale] Product types?Works! That’s great! Thanks!
Looking forward to trialling your latest additions when you’ve got them working.
Would you consider an option of adding a NEW customer too? I know you’re looking at “Assign order to existing customer” but it would be cool if you could add a new custumer too.
Here’s another idea/option – to have the option of adding shipping – I know it’s supposed to be a POS system – but I’m also envisaging using it as an easy way to enter orders I’ve received from peeps on facebook too.

In reply to: [WooCommerce POS - Point of Sale] Product types?Hi!
A quick question – I have it installed on a subsite within multisite – is it supposed to work in that situation or only on a main site/single site install?

In reply to: [WooCommerce POS - Point of Sale] Product types?Ok ’cause I’m not seeing any products on my POS page – even when I’ve got heaps listed – I’ve got some Addons on some of the products – would that be confusing it?
Also with the latest update I got a “Error getting update count from the server” error (or something like that – can’t quite remember…)
any ideas?
actually another question, is there a way to specify if a function code is activated for only a specific subside using the same theme in a multisite situation?
