Thank you, but I tried that and other things before writing.

I am very sad that WP is now a developer’s platform. I would not suggest it for a beginner or anyone like me who only does a new website every 2 or 3 years. It has become very complicated for those who don’t use it regularly.

I am lucky that I still have licenses for Genesis and Dynamik. A little old fashioned, but I was able to get my site up and running in a half-hour.

I noticed that when creating a new post or page, I also got a message that there was a backup copy that was different and did I want to see it? What??? I just started.

When I got out, there was a page called “Auto Draft.”

So there is something wrong with the auto save like Jeff Chandler found.

Toward the end of the long thread about this problem, one person mentioned that a tech at Namecheap was able to help. Fortunately, that is my host also. I submitted a ticket. While the first tech who answered didn’t know what I was talking, another tech did and solved it. This problem triggered Modsecurity rule. They white-listed my account and now I don’t have the problem.

Never mind.

It is totally dependent on the theme being used. How truly stupid is that?
