Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sticky Header and Ultimate Member compatibilityHello.
Apperently, the sticky header function disappeared as well for other users of the theme – but there does not seem to be a relation to the Yoast Plugin.
Regarding the second point:
I put up a local site and Yoast works perfectly fine there – I think it is due to an own-coded plugin that we run on our main site, because the messy layout occurs only on pages where this plugin is active (via shortcode). I think we’ll have to get that right on our own then.
Sorry for the inconveniance
Sorry. I just realized that this actually exists, just only for Premium Users.
In my humble opinion, this should be a very basic function of the plugin and thus not be a premium-only feature. It is kind of essential to know who submitted the form, if you know what I mean.
Would be great to see this as a basic user feature!
Hello.
Thanks for your help.Yeah I only used height for demonstration purposes ??
I think #2 needs some code or needs to be a feature of the plugin.
Thanks for your quick reply!
Regarding #1 paragraph 1: Could you be a bit more specific please? Which field type would I have to chose for this? Number?
paragraph 2: Also here, I need some additional information, please. I know how to activate search filters, but if I chose a field that is a numeric value, the user can search for a number, but not for a number range. How can I activate this in the settings?
#2: Yeah I am aware of that. What I actually want is that the users are displayed by last login by default. However, if someone would prefer to have them displayed by another variable, such as “height” or by the name, he can do so by choosing it in the search filters. He should however only be allowed to chose from variables that are kind of “whitelisted” by an admin.
Thanks you very much.
Hi
Thanks for your help. It was not the theme, but another plugin that caused trouble.
The plugin is called ARVE and it’s a responsive youtube embedder. After deactivating it, the account page shows as normal.
Topic resolved, thanks.
Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for. I could have found that by myself, sorry ??
Thank you very much
Hello
Is this what you mean?:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vudjexswlcrcty9/Nav_menu.png?dl=0I’m sorry, English is not my native language and also, I am pretty new to WordPress. I hope this is what you were looking for.
By the way: Is there a shortcode that displays the username of the logged in user? If yes, maybe I can add it as a display name for that page to the nav menu?
Thanks really much for your help and your patience ??
I could also change my WordPress page to English if that helps.
Those are my UM settings:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/o1peo1tch3kj3eg/settings_UM.png?dl=0
As you see, the User page is called “Profil”. This is also the page that I added to the nav menu. This is the content of the page:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/24r9ha85hi9fsh5/Page_content.png?dl=0There are two shortcodes uf UM, because we have two different UM groups with different profiles. So one shortcode shows the profile of Group A and the second shortcode shows the profile of Group B.
Hello ?? Sorry for not making myself clear.
In my navigation bar, I added the page that shows a user’s profile. Like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/q7pxud9hh8klfcw/settings_navbar.png?dl=0On a normal page, such as the start page, it shows the name of the page that I set up (i.e. Profil):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/7jh9osu57kpg74d/screenshot_1.png?dl=0Currently I am logged in with the admin account. If I click on the “Profil” in my navigation bar, I get to my own profile. It then shows “admin” up there.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oixintcd0btr819/screenshot_2.png?dl=0If I visit another User’s Profile, however, it does no longer show my own name, but the name of the profile owner whose profile I am looking at that moment: In this example, I look at the profile of “Lehrer Test”:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p8mmugougkhsvjl/screenshot_3.png?dl=0Much rather, I would like to always display the name of the user that is logged in (i.e. screenshot_2.png). Is it possible to do that? So whatever page they visit, it always shows their name up there and if they click it, they land on their own profile.
Thanks for your help, I hope everything is clear now.
Hello there. Thanks a lot for your answer!
That would be great ??
Hi, thanks for your reply!
Let’s say I know someone who can code, could he code an extension for the plugin himself that provides these features? Or do you think UM is not suitable at all for my plans?
Kind regards,
cleetorrisSorry I might have misused the nomenclature of the plugin. What I want to customize are not the forms per se – I like to stick with login, registration and profile -, but I would like to customize the elements that you can implement in the forms (e.g. username, first name, last name, date of birth, and so on.)
