In reply to: Press This bugFYI… i think my problem might be caused by the MiniPosts2 plugin, which apparently doesn’t like the way posts get created with the Press This thing.

In reply to: Press This bugfixed for me in 2.9, but now posts made with Press This refuse to actually show up on my blog unless i follow the following sequence:
1. Press This
2. Compose the post
3. Publish it
4. Edit it
5. Press “Update” (don’t have to change anything, just press Update)otherwise, they simply never appear.

In reply to: Add New Post – form disappearsFF = FireFox
i think FF is the problem, actually. restarting FireFox seems to fix the problem temporarily – i can post again. but, after a while, the problem reappears.

In reply to: Add New Post – form disappearsit looks like everything is working fine now. (fingers crossed)
i can’t verify it, since the problem was difficult to reproduce, but it looks like deleting all of my disabled plugins might have fixed the problem.
again, fingers crossed.

In reply to: Add New Post – form disappearsI deactivated all of my plugins and tried a post. It went blank as before.
So then I shut down FF, then restarted it, and tried another post. That seemed to fix the problem.
Then I restarted all of my plugins and tried a post. It still worked.
Then I restarted FF. And it still worked.
That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
UPDATE:
it worked for a while. but after a few minutes of random browsing, my next post failed (all plugins enabled, etc). i’ll have to try it with all of them disabled for a longer time, to get a true test, i think.

In reply to: [Plugin: Semi-Private Comments] what about making this plugin use cookies?sounds like an good idea. i’ll see if i can do that in a future version.
i don’t know anything about WP’s cookie-handling, though. so it might take a while…

In reply to: Have a plugin request?i’m looking for one that will either let me add some default text for new posts, or even better, allow me to define buttons (or menus, or links, whatever) that will allow me to choose from a set of canned text bits that i can use in my posts.
basically, i have a specific bunch of stuff i use when posting pictures (same base path and a comment div), and typing it in every time is a bit of a drag. with Blogger, you can specify the ‘default’ text for each new post, and i just set it to be a skeleton image tag – i got used to it.
