The team would like to pass on that the clearpay_is_product_supported hook can be used to disable the Express button on the cart page per individual product. Please note that this will also disable Clearpay for that item at checkout and hide the messaging on the product page. This feature is currently in development and will be available in an upcoming version. Any update to the plugin will be released via the official WordPress plugin directory.

From the described behaviour, this is usually the result of the JavaScript file being modified in some way. The majority of the time a 3rd party performance plugin will be the cause of this. If the file is minified and/or concatenated, excluding the afterpay-1.x.js file should resolve this. As a last resort the 3rd party plugin can be disabled.

In order to show the paragraph for shortcode only, please ensure the ‘Payment Info on Individual Product Pages’ remains enabled and keep the text which would be used to display the paragraph, and empty the hook name in that section.

Alternatively to exclude certain products from using Clearpay, advanced users may use the clearpay_is_product_supported hook. More information on how to use this hook: https://developers.clearpay.co.uk/clearpay-online/docs/woocommerce-hooks

Thank you for your message. From looking at the URL provided, Clearpay is appearing on the product page, cart page and checkout, provided GBP is selected as the consumer currency.
