Just to tag on to what @kathycac said regarding the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. I added this to my site and it’s made no difference – when I try to select a specific category to display in the post grid, it just reverts to “All”.

Just to chip in on this. I was having the same problem. When I cleared cache and minified JS in WP Fastest Cache, the problem went away.

As an update to this, a clarification from the host:

“It’s that the plug in is using insecure verstions of TLS M(1.1 & 1.2)

We only allow TLS 1.3, so if the other hosting allowed the older versions of TLS that would explain why it works there and not here.”

OK, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, there is an EventBrite connection set up using Keyring (not too sure how all of this aspect works, to be honest!). I think the site owner would prefer people not to be able to see any of that, so I’ll look into another solution.

Just to assure you you are not going mad, OP. I have had a couple of issues this morning with WordFence and HTTP 500 errors which, when I disabled the plugin via FTP, went away. Obviously there is some sort of conflict.

I updated other plugins and attempted to update WordFence (which obviously failed as the plugin could not be found). Then, when I renamed the plugin folder back to “wordfence” it appeared to be working again. I’m not smart enough to know what was going on, but it does appear to be WordFence related (or WordFence conflicting with something).

Found the problem with this. I was running the Scripts To Footer plugin, which was obviously affecting the form. Deactivated that and we’re good to go.

OK, I’ve done as you suggested. Deactivated the Templates plugin, then deleted Pods from wp-content/plugins. Reinstalled and everything seems to be as it was (in terms of my Pods and templates being there), so will carry on and see what happens. Thanks again for your help.

Great, thank you. I’m new to Pods so must have missed that part. Not to worry. It hasn’t cost me too much time, and it’s been absolutely invaluable for setting up the site I needed to. Definitely one I’ll be using again.

Thanks for getting back to me. So if I deactivate the Auto Template plugin (I think I installed it after watching a video tutorial, although I can’t remember if that was on the Pods site or third party) and then remove and reinstall Pods it might fix itself? Will all of my templates etc remain in the database? I’ll back up first, of course!
