the images are not changing although when you click the featured image they show up in the lightbox

found when i remove the featured image then the variation images work fine when selecting. but of course that means i have no image on the shop page

I am having the same issue. Main image was changing several weeks ago but now does not. when i click on main image it does bring up the image for that variation but only if you click the main image which does not change like it used to

just to make sure as i have hundreds of posts and photos. if i bulk optimize all of my posts photos will still work. I trying to make the site much smaller so i was thinking about using this setting

Delete originals This will remove the original image from the server after a successful conversion.

is that a good idea?
