I have removed the plugin from within wordpress and am waiting to receive the ftp login details from my hosting service as I just migrated the site to a managed wordpress hosting plan.
I will follow your instructions once I have the login details, which should be on Monday now. I will post here if I can resolve my issues by deleting the send e-mail contact form files.
