In reply to: images linkThank you George,
for SEO I am using AIOSEO plugin free version. It allows redirect but only in the Pro version. The free version gives good resuslts anyway, so I am happy with it.
Then I am going to try the plugin you suggest.- This reply was modified 2 years, 10 months ago by clack.
Thank you.
Yes, it seems that the lag is gone now.Hello,
thank you for the reply.
Where do I find TruSEO?
I am using the free version.Great!
I am experiencing this problem too.
When the post gets longer than a few hundred words, lag appears. Going on writing, it gets longer, until it seems to have no end.
In the italian WP forum I had the kind support by @arnaudbroes, but regretfully he has not been able to reproduce the issue, so it is still there.
The funny thing is that while I meet this problem with an A4-5000/8 GB RAM/W10 HP Pavilion laptop, that is the one I prefer for writing and works perfectly for anything else, even heavy applications like Photoshop, with an i5-7200/8GB/W10 HP 255 G6 laptop the problem does not appear.
Followed a discussion on Github but really too cryptic for my skills.
Did not see any update recently.
Will try the disable-write-reable trick, even if it is a bit boring, especially when a post can be completed only after many writing sessions.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Miniva] return to previous versionApart the alignment all those arrows in menus and submenus are not pleasant to see.
When one has made an excellent job, overworking on it can lead to make damage.

In reply to: [Miniva] Featuerd image dimensionsWell, the sidebar is too important in my site to be removed.
Anyway, a template like Miniva but with bigger featured images would be the best.Forum: Themes and Templates

the CSS code you supplied is working perfectly.
Thank you so much.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Miniva] excerpt lenghtWhat a great new!
If I am allowed to give another advice, while the red mask hovering the main menu is very nice, a lighter background for the dropdown, light grey with dark fonts for instance, would better harmonize with the clean and elegant graphical character of the Miniva theme.
So, I keep waiting for the next update!
Thank you for your attention.

In reply to: [Miniva] excerpt lenghtHi, thanks for your answer.
Frankly I cannot see the point of developing such a light and graphically pleasing theme if it needs to be backed by a heavy and bulky plugin like Jetpack, for such obvious things like displaying an excerpt in home page.Jetpack cannot work on local WordPress installations.
This makes not possibile to check how Miniva really behaves before having it on line. When another SEO plugin is already in use, adding Jetpack to it could cause problems.
So, who wishes to switch to Miniva for exisiting sites, with dozens or maybe hundreds of articles on line already, should modify them one by one to include manually the tag “Continue Reading”.
Maybe a more straight to the object approach could meet the needs of many more users.
Sincerely
