Ok ok. I see, my cache was not completely updated. But seeing your stylesheet I believe you should use more specific css’s for all items. Just my suggestion!

Sorry, but this behaviour is in the latest version! See the code snippet above. So this is not resolved; can you therefore please further adjust your css?

As you can see on the image its really about the possibility of using the plugin on a colored background. The images displayes both the current and new “icon-set” of your plugin. The new Awesome icons should in my opinion be without the white border; the color white should only be shown INSIDE the image itself. Ie without a square or round white border…

About the misalignment: yep, that indeed occurs when you make the icon sizes smaller. Good to know!

I created a screenshot by re-configuring the widget and adding the 4 square icons I wanted. There is however no upload option in this comment form, can I therefore email it instead?

My settings are:
Title: TEST
Icon color: dark blue (matching my light blue background)
Icon background color: white
Icon size: 24
Background size: 24
Border radius: empty
Opacity: 1
Open in new windows: checked
4 icons: fa-facebook-square, fa-twitter-square, fa-google-plus-square, fa-flickr

I noticed I also couldnt reproduce the not-outlined issue. My main remark is however that I would like to have the icons itself (in my case) darkblue AND white inside on a lightblue background. Thus not only replying on a clear background color. Can this be the case?

But let me mail you my screenshot with both the current icons I like and the results of the settings above! And thanks in advance for looking into this btw!!

Did you have a look into this? I assumed the detailed description above would be enought to reprodure 4 square non-aligned icons. If not, let me know.

Are the js and css files of the ‘Floating Widge’t now only included by default if this Floating Widget is actually used?

The standard Google functionality actually doesn’t effect page speed. This as the js’s are only loaded after the page has loaded. I don’t have the premium version, so I can’t say it this effects page speed.

While I understand that this is not a current feature, I’m wondering if anybody has designed and shared a nice filter or complete hack to do this?!

I’m willing to hack my Mailpoet plugin for this…

Maybe we are then using a different definition of ‘styling’. What I mean with styling, is that the default layout of the theme is used. I understand that MailPoet can of course not support every theme, but generic placeholder CSS should in my opinion work – regarding which theme used.

I therefore posted the 2 problems I have:
1) That I did not get the widget to use the placeholder styling I use
2) That the widget with the option ‘show label within input’ makes the label or placeholder float above the input box. And even with the display: none code above its still shown on a onblur event.

So if front-subscribers doesn’t do anything, do you have any thoughts on why we didn’t yet manage the get issue 1 solved?

I btw really love MailPoet! – but the truth is the widget in my opinion degrades MailPoets total experience. Not only because of the above but also because the widget it not responsive. Changing the error message to display directly above the form instead of on the right can maybe already improve its responsiveness. The error and confirmation message is now for example not shown when using an iphone in case the widget is placed in the wordpress footer section. Maybe something to take with you when completing the complete overhaul of the plugin.

Thanks, good to know. To do this without extra costs I’ll then mimic your plugins functionality with a function.php code snippet. Found some via Mailpoets website and Google seaches….
