But by the sounds of it, your site has been hacked. Maybe install WordFence if you haven’t already.

Version 4.8.1 works.
You might have to use a different SMTP plugin and check that it works before using Contact Form 7.
Use the older version of Contact Form 7.

The latest version of Contact Form 7 does not work.

Don’t know why an older version of Contact Form 7 works, but not the newest and greatest?! Anyway, here is version 4.7…

I have followed the FAQ page, tried different SMTP plugins, different outgoing email accounts, sub-domain email account, clearing the cache, deactivating all the plugins, adding reCaptcha/ removing reCaptcha…
I am tearing my hair out here! :E
Is there anyway to debug the Contact Form 7 plugin?
