You might want to ask @bungeshea what he did to fix the Code Snippets plugin update, with which I had the IDENTICAL issue!!

Mission Accomplished!!! All fully updated and the new version number showing!!

I too tried capturing my snippets, deleting the plugin, then reinstalling from the WordPress plugin store.. same issue as above..

ODDLY, I have starting having the SAME ISSUE with ANOTHER PLUGIN – Relevanssi!! Again, updating and also deleting/reinstalling does not help.. it’s like the WordPress store has the old version!!

Is this a WordPress issue?!?!

HOLD UP!!! When I update the plugin, I get a “success” message, but then the version number on the plugins page is still 2.8.4..

Not sure why it worked on a subsequent attempt, but anyway, it worked!!!

Hi again!!

I saw the update to v 2.8.5.1 and tried to update to that version, with the same result:

An error occurred while updating Code Snippets: Download failed. Not Found

I am having the same issue! In my case I get the following error message:

Update Failed: Download failed. Not Found

I’ve tried updating the plugin with the plugin both activated and deactivated, on both my staging site and production site – the same results everywhere!!

Any assistance you can provide greatly appreciated!!

Hi Frankie and guys!!

Why did you mark this topic as “Resolved”??

I am going to have to put my store on my main blog domain to make it work properly. (long story) Anyway, I installed this plugin on my blog charlottesogn.com just now and it still doesn’t work! I enter my email and phone number and a title and the Save dot just spins around and around and never does finish saving the settings.

Also, I did resolve the other issue and let me know if you want to know how that worked out.

So, for me, it still doesn’t work! Please advise and let me know what info you need from me.

Will do, but there’s the rub – GoDaddy says everything is hunky dory!!

My plugin developers says they’re wrong, and I have a security issue!!

NOW do you see my situation??

Anyway, I will keep this on my radar and THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I did check with my theme developer BUT my child theme is via a plugin so I will check with them too. Also, I just had a quick look at the functions.php files that I could find (Filezilla) but didn’t really see anything.

Thanks for the snippet!! I looked that up and it seems like it’ll hide error messages.. don’t I want to know if something isn’t working correctly? Also, is it true that having debug mode on is a security risk? That is my main reason for pursuing this.

I’m waiting on GoDaddy to update my WP to v 4.7.1 then I will add the snippet after I confirm that everything is running ok on the new version – should be anytime now!!
