In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to add drop down for additional product add-onsFor a variable product, the area to enter the price is still there, but you have to dig down to each variation to find it, and click “expand all”
You don’t have add-ons per se, you have a variable product with three variations, one priced at $200, a second one priced $220 and one priced $240.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to remove "Home > Shop" and "All Products"?If you just want to remove the words “All Products” at the top of your Shop page, that is even simpler … go to Woocommerce -> Settings -> Catalog and you can change or delete the “All Products” text.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to remove "Home > Shop" and "All Products"?You don’t have to edit or remove that file, if your theme supports menus.
If your theme supports menus, just make a custom menu that doesn’t include those pages, and use that menu instead. From the wordpress dashboard, select Appearance -> Menus, click the “+” sign in the tabs at the top of the main dialog, and make a custom menu … it takes a little work to get it right. You should click the “screen options” at the top of the screen to make sure you can see all the sorts of things you might want to add to your custom menu.
I always prefer to not delete a file when I can accomplish the same thing with a simple setting.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How do I make products go horizontal?jess0310, it looks like you have 4 products per row now, but that you got rid of your “cookie” category page that you linked to up there. How did you approach the problem?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product catergories won′t work how I wantI have a small test store that has a couple of products in it, which are members of two categories … I set it up like that just to see if it would work;
https://babydeluxe.com/shop/product-category/home/
https://babydeluxe.com/shop/product-category/gifts/
There are two products that overlap and are displayed in each category:
https://babydeluxe.com/shop/home/ecofriendly-wooden-cakestand/
https://babydeluxe.com/shop/home/ecofriendly-wooden-spoon-set/
Now, it is notable that both products URLs include the “home” slug, regardless of which category they are accessed from. I initially had them defined as “gifts” and only added the “home” category later, so … there is a chance that the primary category for the URL uses the last-added category, or the last in alphabetical order, but not both when clicking around.
It does work with either slug, though:
https://babydeluxe.com/shop/gifts/ecofriendly-wooden-spoon-set/
works fine.
I’m building product and category pages automatically only, since I’m exploring how much I can do with woocommerce with no shortcodes and no modifiication of any code.

That is a link to a screengrab of how I have product categories set up for that product.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product catergories won′t work how I wantHow are you building your product pages, with shortcodes or by adding them to custom menus? I wish I spoke more Dutch, but I can make out what you’re doing, even so.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Selling photos? You can sell a digital download, so I don’t see why not. You might want to put a watermark on the ones you use as featured images for the product though!
For different sizes, you’ll probably want to read up a bit on how to set up “Variable products” … you can assign a different price, sale price, etc. to each variation.
Note: I haven’t tried to combine a virtual product, digital download and variable product before but I don’t think it should present a problem.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Adding Variations removes Add to Cart ButtonOk, it sounds like your problem is that your variable product doesn’t have a price assigned for each variation. There is no one field that controls it, you’ll have to drill down to each variation and update them all.
To add a price to each variation, from the WordPress dashboard select Products, and from the list select the product you want to modify.
From the Product Data dialog, select the Variations tab.

Then, in order to see the Price you have to click on “Expand All” and THEN you will be able to see the Price and Sale Price fields. You’ll have to enter a price, and a sale price if you wish, for each variation.

Remember to save your product data, click Update in the upper right corner of the page before you close the page or move to another page.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Adding Variations removes Add to Cart Buttonno, don’t try to add the price in the product name text area, it sounds like you just haven’t found the place to enter price for variations yet.
I’ll try to take a screen grab to explain where to do that once I’m at a computer .. I’m just on my iPhone at the moment.
Ah, it was in “Woocommerce -> Settings -> Pages”
I had been looking at “Pages” right in the Dashboard.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Thumbnails with WordPress 3.5.1I don’t have this one configured with lightbox or anything fancy, but adding extra images to a product is not hard … just a little obscure.
Here’s an example (from a demo store, a sandbox that I’m not going to keep up for very long)
https://babydeluxe.com/shop/clothing/pullover-shown-with-gallery/
From the WordPress Dashboard home:
Products -> Products -> (select the product you want to add images to)
then “Add Media”, which is towards the top of the screen.
https://i47.tinypic.com/zmgmma.png
here is a pic of the “Add Media” screen, where you can see the three options on the left, for “Insert Media”, “Create Gallery”, “Set Featured Image” and also for “Insert from URL” (I never use the last one on self-contained sites.)
For this product, I used only images that were already in my media library, one for the “Featured Image” and the whole lot of the color variations for the image gallery.
Also, products that have variations (like different colors), you can assign a different image to each variation and the featured image will update depending on the variation selected.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Adding product categories to custom menus?Bingo! That is what I was hunting for … I just didn’t see “Screen Options” before.
Thank you!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product ThumbnailsYour first link doesn’t seem to be working anymore! Did you figure it out?
Your thumbnails all look like the same size now, did you fix that too?
There is a plugin or two that does forced regeneration of thumbnails, it’s come in handy for me while adjusting the sizes of images for products and thumbnails, to keep them clear.
What theme are you using there?
