Well I’m afraid I can’t help you much as far as an explanation goes, but I did institute the archives.php file on my site https://www.smammers.com and it does work perfectly. It has helped me cut down on some of the “clutter” in my menu. Thanks for the work! ??

It doesn’t look like you can use the file upload feature at this time because the directory you have specified (/home/smammers/public_html/wp-content ) doesn’t appear to be writable by WordPress. Check the permissions on the directory and for typos.
That is the exact message I receive, and I did confirm the permissions through the database.

Okiedokie, everything is all set. All changes are made and Smammers Final v2.0 is complete. All I’ll have to do now is keep up with the upgrades and so forth and that will be it.

When a nightly comes out, do we just upgrade our current versions? If so, how so?

I can’t goto the “uploads” section in the admin. Says the wp-content file isn’t set correctly permission wise, but it is.

So they’re kicking out a new version of this every night? How do you upgrade?

LOL php is down on my server right now. (GRRRRRRRR) still waiting for the host to kick it back up.

There is a meta command out there that tells google to search all pages in the directory. Can’t seem to find it though, I was looking yesterday for somebody else.

It’s curious because it always says it’s an “unexpected function” or “unexpected require” something of that nature.

Regardless of what I do, even if the code is perfect, anytime I put code in the hacks file it comes up parse error. After checking and double-checking, it is always parse error.

I too, tried many a blog proggy. pLog was the first and has potential but just isn’t as supported as WP. I needed one with an active support core, where peeps didn’t get all touchy with you if you asked for help.
Kudos (cudos?) to the creators of Word Press. This is the blog I will stick with from now on.
