In reply to: [wp-forecast] Error with widget displayI just checked our client and now the description and icon are for freezing rain, although the temperature is only 63F. The location is Dover, VT, USA.
It is raining but not freezing rain. Not yet, anyway. ??

In reply to: [wp-forecast] Error with widget displayLOL. Now the Meteo widget is displaying Fahrenheit (yay!) but the short description is “ice” which can’t be true since it’s only 62F (15C). Maybe it’ll settle down on its own…
cheers,

In reply to: [wp-forecast] Error with widget displayHi Tuxlog,
I have the Meteo version working now on one of our sites, although it appears to be displaying in Celsius only — can we get a Fahrenheit option?
Otherwise, I’m still struggling with another site that’s refusing to display any version. It throws a different error in the plugin connection test — something to do with missing SSL, which is not the case. The site has a valid SSL cert.
OpenWeatherMap seems like a great option but I couldn’t get it working when I tried with the API. I’ll try one more time and see if there’s anything I’m missing.
Thanks again for helping us with this. We love the plugin and don’t want to lose it.
cheers,

In reply to: [wp-forecast] Error with widget displayI tried the OpenWeatherMap service and got an API key. But it still doesn’t work. The error displayed is:
Failure notice from provider: A
I also noticed that since yesterday, the admin page has stopped saving the Long and Lat entries — they’re empty. I re-entered them, saved, and those fields are still empty. That wasn’t the case a couple days ago.
The plugin is working however on a site running on WP Engine web host.
But not on our server. Is something missing all of a sudden at our end that your plugin needs to communicate with any service? I know we have cURL. Not sure about fsockopen and stream, but I’m guessing they’re there too. What is the default for transfer method? I have it set at default.thanks for your help!

In reply to: [wp-forecast] Error with widget displayGotcha — I’ll give OpenWeatherMap a try in the meantime. I can’t remember if I tried it once before, but I’ll do it in the next day or so and let you know how it goes.
thanks again,

In reply to: [wp-forecast] Error with widget displayHi and thanks for your reply. We’re using Accuweather as the source and default as the method.
I tested the connection (see log results below) and it was fine, but the weather still doesn’t display. Instead of a test, I just get the location name and a degree symbol. The temperature and icon are blank.
This is also happening on another site on the same server, but not on a third site that’s hosted elsewhere. What do you think?

LWhat I’m seeing is that the table of contents is not displayed even though it is set to display the outline always under Outline settings. The plugin appears to ignore that setting.
Where I have manually entered the outline, it appears to shuffle the order of subheadings seemingly at random, and doesn’t save changes if you try to fix the order by dragging a heading up or down in the list. This isn’t helpful.
There are no error messages. The plugin just does what it does, right or wrong. I can’t get it to display the table of contents no matter what I do (clear cache, resave settings, change browsers, etc) although sometimes, for no apparent reason, it does display… It doesn’t provide any reason why it’s doing what it’s doing.
Oops, can you delete that link? That shouldn’t be public.
Hi again,
We’re not seeing a table of contents (visible, clickable outline) on the book where we manually created one. Also, where we manually created an outline, we’re unable to save changes where we’ve moved a heading up or down in the list. We need the outline to be editable if we’re to use it at all.
Do you have any thoughts on that? This is the link:
