Hi! I had completely forgotten that I could do this on a page by page basis. ON the page backend. Thank you!

Hello David. Never assume ?? Actually the ticket system did not work and none of that happened–I had to get creative and ended up sending an email (back to the address in my 1st support request) and then doing a work around and attaching the log file through dropbox. I did get good support this time which was why I updated the review. FYI – It appears your portal doesn’t work on chrome with extensions installed. HOWEVER, we did figure out (once all was said and done) that it worked on Safari. In the end, I got my backup and I got help so that is what matters. Thank you for following up. I think we can successfully end this discussion.

Hello David. As per my last reply above, I never got a confirmation or a reply to my re-submission of the support request through your online/website portal. I have now submitted more than once and nothing happens. I can’t email the log file as it is too large. Is there an issue with your portal?

I’m trying to give you the benefit of the doubt but it’s now been 5 days since my last reply to you, here. I can’t backup and I can’t submit a support request so I’m not sure what to do at this point. I’d love to get this backup issue resolved (and revise your review). What do you advise?

Interesting, I just tried re-submitting the ticket and it took a very long time. That could be because the logfile is large but I never got a confirmation screen – the support form just went blank at some point. There were no errors either.
I have not rcvd an email confirmation either.

That could have happened the other day as well. If there is something wrong with your ticket submission process it would explain a lot about why no one responded to my request.

Please let me know if you see the ticket in the system. Unfortunately I can’t email the log file because it’s too large.

Here is the issue. Since I migrated I can’t do a backup. If there is another way for me to get you a log file, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    CC

Good morning David. It would have been the gmail address. At this point, I think it’s easiest to resubmit the ticket and go from there. I’m a fair person and as I said I am happy to revise the review if things go well this time. I will resubmit the ticket today. Thank you.

David. Thank you for your response.

1st: My preference would be to discuss this outside of the forum and not go back and forth publicly as it just turns into a he said she said. However, since you wrote back here, I will be happy to go back and look up the exact details of the support email in question if you’d like – but right now I have some bigger challenges to solve. One is that I have not been able to perform a backup with Updraft since I migrated the site using Updraft Plus’ migration tool–Which BTW is the support request that prompted my review more so than the first one. Let’s just say one compounded the other.

And yes, I did finally get the answer to my support request #1 but I had to find it myself using other means. I paid for a premium plugin and my expectation was for premium support. Can we at least agree that sometimes support could be a little more thoughtful in responding? Especially when it was clear that I had looked for the answer on your site and asked several questions and said I was completely unsure about the process. I got a two sentence response with a reference to yet another support article. We can agree to disagree if you choose.

2nd: I cannot understand how you have only 1 ticket in the system as I submitted a second ticket (the one to prompt this review) whereby I included the log file from the most recent failed backup attempt. I am more than happy to admit that things don’t always work the way they should, and sometimes even technology fails, so I’ll make you a deal. You help me with the backup issue and I will revise this review. What do you say?

P.S. Please note that I did also say kind things in my review. I do think you have a great tool.

    Thank you for this info!

I actually just sent a support request to WP Ultimate Recipe to see if they can help me figure out all the pieces of this puzzle if I switch to that.

Which do you recommend? Recipe Maker or WPUR?

I have been using the paid version of this plugin for three years – my original developer chose it and for a variety of reasons I had to stick with it. It was a decent tool if clunky and it worked ok.
BUT, I’ve heard that they have stopped updating the plugin now? I currently have one support ticket that has been open since JULY 2016 if tells you anything.
I’m building a new site from scratch and I was planning on using this on that site (for lack of other options and because I don’t know of many other plugins that have an easy means to export Easy Recipes into them). Sadly I can’t get the plus plugin download anymore (even though I’ve paid for it). All the emails I have from the previous plus plugin download links are dead and there seems to be no way to get it again unless I pay for it again. Not going to happen – besides which – I find it interesting that the payment system still works even though support is non-existent. I’m stuck in limbo with my recipes and I’m not happy about it. My current support ticket requesting a download link has been waiting for days. The least this developer could do is change their auto-responder to say “Sorry, we’re no longer in business.” Instead, it makes you think someone will respond. So we wait.?I’m giving up. ??

If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I know that WPUltimateRecipe can possibly import my recipes but I’ve heard it’s complicated and I’m not sure how to do it on my dev site? Plus, I haven’t migrated my posts in yet. Don’t know if I need to do it before or if I can do it after?

Thank you. I will try it!

Hi! I too would like to make the icons appear above the menu text. I’m not a developer but can follow instructions pretty well if you can provide a step by step – and/or css and where to put it. Not sure I understand comment “add styles to your theme?” FYI: Currently switching to Avada theme (in development).Any chance this will be a future feature? Thank you!
