It may be that I need to change ports but I don’t know how and still get to work

It sets there saying connecting until it times out

Well it won’t even let me access the site now? I don’t know how to fix it to try it again. Help!

I found the httpd.conf file but don’t know where to put it

Where in Apache and how?

I know it is local hosted

I only have the homepage working now even though I recreated some of the other pages but they give me the 404 error code when I go to the site and click on them. I have a About page, Contact Me page, Education page, Entertainment page, Work Experience page and a Family Tree page and all get the 404 error. It may be because I had to get rid of the other database and create a new one to recreate these pages?

It should since I copied the files in the Blog on my harddrive to a backup folder.

I ended up building the site back from scratch. One thing I don’t understand is if the site is backed up on DropBox how does one restore the site from there since the backup and restore plug-in cannot be used when the site is destroyed. I tried to manually restore it from the backups that I had on my computer but it didn’t do anything?

When I went to the site after the re-installation of the WordPress files
and clicked on any of the menu pages it says:
The requested URL /ChucksBlog/home/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.9 (Win64) PHP/5.5.12 Server at localhost Port 80
and gives me a 404 error

I originally started from scratch on Wamp but have to re-install WordPress files 2 times.

I tried that and pages still not found

I am using Wamp. This is the 2nd site that I have tried to set up and have had problems with both of them. I have 10 plugins and only 5 of them work since they are attached to the home page. I have 6 pages and now none of them work. The only plugin that works on the 1st page isthe login/logout plugin.

Yes I deactivated all my plugins. I am using theme Twenty Sixteen. Same error message.

Well I had to reinstall WordPress to get rid of the iThemes Security plugin but now my DashBoard has disappeared because it says page not found. The pages on my Blog no longer work with the page not found message. Help.
