You can use the Recent Posts widget in your sidebar (design/widgets) to show the titles of recent posts. If you want to shorten the articles on your home page you should either use the ‘more’ tag or use ‘the_excerpt’ instead of ‘the_content’ in your template if you want to provide excerpts for each of your articles. Using the ‘more’ tag is probably the easiest. You can find more info in docs if you’re not sure what I’m referring to.

Thanks for reply. After doing a lot more research it seems to be a common problem – as you said, not just with this plugin – with no recommended solutions. So odd that some will work and others won’t. I’ll keep workig at it.

Update: I’ve now added 3 more videos to the playlists which are on same server as wp. These I am able to pause. So there are still 3 that cannot be paused/stopped. I’ve never purposefully changed the video production settings except occasionally for size, but I wonder if I set something differently (using camtasia 4).

One more note.. The stop button does cause the video to go black but the audio keeps going. Just tried with single swf embed (as opposed to playlist) and still had problem.

I paid good money to have the same plugin developed a year ago lol. Unfortunately, we had the same problem begin with 2.2 upgrade and have not found an integrated solution yet. Thanks for sharing and Love to hear if you ever figured anything out.

I’m having a similar problem and I don’t consider “turn off visual editor” to be a resolution. The person whose site I’m helping with needs to have the visual editor.

But it’s a little more strange than Rich’s problem. We did nothing with the site for several days and all was fine when we let it be. When she signed back in today, she noticed that the visual editor had changed! How odd is that considering we made not changes. It now shows drop-down for formatting text plus font color, underline and others. These were not showing before (and one of my working versions of 2.2.3 does not show them either).

Nothing happens when I click the ‘code’ tab. It won’t switch over. And when you enter and save a change using visual editor, it saves but when you check the Page and editor, nothing has changed.

* Deactivated all plugins – no change.
* Unchecked, Rechecked Use Visual Editor – no change
* Was going to re-upload includes folder but realized she needed to upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.2.3 so went ahead and did the upgrade – no change. (does not want to go to 2.3 due to change in category tables)

ANY HELP?

Update: OK. Still don’t have answer, but using Firebug, I see a lot of wp-admin.css errors but also a few lines of the following error:

switchEditors is not defined
onclick(click clientX=0, clientY=0)

That definitely seems like it would cause problem of not being able to switch to code, but I don’t know how to resolve it.

That’s because your home page is currently your blog – not a Static Page. So it will not be listed in Pages. If you want to keep the blog as you homepage, one way to get it to show up in your Pages list is to create a Page named Tahitians Reunion Home, Return Home, or whatever and then use a plugin like Redirectify (if you can still find it) or Redirection (https://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/) to have it direct that Page to your index (which is in this case your blog).
