We’ve received many questions about HOW TO REPORT A BUG ??.

You can report a bug at https://github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/issues using the “New Issue” button. You can also use this channel to
    – Suggest ideas that would make Caldera Forms even better,
    – Look through past ideas and comment on ones you love and want us to prioritize,
    – Peek at how our team works on improving this plugin every day!

PLEASE NOTE: if you do not fill out the template completely, your request will be closed without comment. We’re not trying to make your life harder – we need this information to replicate the bug in our testing environments and (hopefully!) solve it. If you don’t know how to find this information, we consider your request a support request as we have to isolate and troubleshoot for your bug. Thank you for understanding! And as always, we welcome all comments, questions and concerns on our contact form and live chat at https://calderaforms.com/contact/.

Hi SD, I would recommend asking Divi support for help on this one.

We track all bug reports on GitHub, not here. If you have not yet opened this issue there, please do so at https://github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/issues/new. The Github issue tracker is not a support channel. It is used for managing our development team. One of our developers will review the issue and determine if it requires a change to Caldera Forms or not and consider all of our users and our road map before addressing the issue.

Please note that if you do not follow the recommended template, your issue will likely be closed without action from our team because we won’t have the information we need to recreate your problem, to attempt to solve it. Please please please: we need this information to test and recreate the bug in our environment to be able to resolve it.

Github issues lead to technical discussions: Github is a tool our professional development team uses. Since we develop open-source, you’re very welcome to follow along, or even contribute.

I hope this is helpful, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions. I’m going to mark this ticket as resolved, but feel free to reopen it if you have further concerns. If you need faster help than what we give on www.remarpro.com support threads, I hope you’ll consider signing up for Caldera Forms Pro. One of the main benefits is 1 business day turnaround support.

    Hi Nano,

Thanks for using Caldera Forms, that means a lot to me and the rest of the Caldera WP team ??

If I understand what you need correctly, I think you are asking about different kinds of customization of the CSV export of a Caldera Form. This is not currently a feature of the Caldera Forms UI. It’s actually something we’re working to make better right now. I apologize about the inconvenience.

    Hi OT,

Thanks for using Caldera Forms. That sounds to me like some other product’s update might’ve created some crossed wires in your site. I’d like to help, but we need to narrow down exactly what the problem is. If we can isolate the cause, we can probably fix it. Have you tried disabling all of your other plugins and switching to the default theme and then re-submitting the form?

If that works, then we can be sure this is not a bug with Caldera Forms or an issue with your form setup and look at where the conflict is. If it does not resolve the issue, then we will know the other factors are unrelated and can look at your form.

I would recommend doing this test on a staging site. If your host does not provide staging sites, you should really consider a managed WordPress host that provides this service, such as SiteGround (https://www.siteground.com/recommended?referrer_id=7732003), that offers this feature. Please do note that while that is an affiliate link, we are big fans of their product and are active users ourselves.

    Hi dia,

Thanks for using Caldera Forms, we hope you’re finding it useful.

Yes, you can do this using Caldera Forms. You should look at this combination of products on CalderaForms.com, which can be used for a business directory:

Caldera Forms Custom Fields – for front-end editing of form data
    Caldera Forms Users
    Caldera Forms Members

I hope this is helpful. If you have additional questions, please do send them our way on our website at CalderaForms.com where one of my team members can answer questions about all of our product offerings, both free and paid, faster than we answer free support threads on www.remarpro.com.

    Hi Felix,

Thanks using Caldera Forms, that means a lot to me and the rest of the Caldera WP team ??

It sounds like you need our free Run Action which can be used to create custom integrations with other systems: https://calderaforms.com/downloads/caldera-forms-run-action/

If you need help setting this up, please open a support ticket at https://calderaforms.com/support. We do not support add-on plugins to Caldera Forms on these support threads, yes, even the “free” add-on plugins both as per our terms of support and the www.remarpro.com forum rules.

    Hi Pam,

Thanks for using Caldera Forms, that means a lot to me and the rest of the Caldera WP team ??

I think understand what you’re asking. In both instances, you just need to set a limit on the number of checkboxes that can checked. The good news is this is a common form need, the bad news is that it is not currently a feature of the Caldera Forms UI. I apologize about the inconvenience.

It is possible to limit the number of checkboxes that are selected with some custom code. Our support is limited to helping with current product features, but I went ahead and pulled up this guide on how you could do this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19001844/how-to-limit-the-number-of-selected-checkboxes. We have a guide on where to put custom Caldera Forms code here: https://calderaforms.com/doc/adding-custom-style-caldera-forms/ And if you want to collaborate with others on learning to implement customizations, we have an active Facebook community where tinkerers and adventurers come together to try to make Caldera Forms do even cooler things: https://www.facebook.com/groups/651862761663883

    Hi Shabixh,

Thanks for using Caldera Forms. Caldera Forms is responsive by default, so if your forms are not mobile-responsive, that tells me your theme is possibly enacting some sort of strict styling.

Marking threads as resolved is the only way we have to differentiate between threads we’ve responded to and threads that are still awaiting a response. We get several of these every day. If this system is dissatisfactory to you, I’d highly encourage you to open an issue in www.remarpro.com meta to give support teams like mine more tools to better serve you.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved again because you said that the 2 modals do work using Caldera Forms’s modal shortcode, so I don’t completely understand what else you need help with. Please feel free to reopen the thread if you need to clarify the problem and I’ll do my best to help.

If your project requires you to call the two modals using do_shortcode(), you can open an enhancement request on our GitHub here and Josh will take a look: https://github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/issues/new. Please note that this isn’t a custom development channel, this is how we collect requests and discussions surrounding bugs, enhancements and suggestions. We will get to these threads as it makes sense within our development cycle.

If the issue is pressing, I would recommend reaching out to one of our Caldera Forms implementation partners to make this possible for your project: https://calderaforms.com/caldera-forms-services/

We do not generally help you troubleshoot or provide specific directions for custom code modifications, we are here to help with the plugin’s functionality (which there is no UI option to change the color of the validation asterisk). There are many resources available that can point you in the right direction:

If you’re adding CSS to your site, again here are our recommendations for where to put your code, recommended themes, tutorials, and other best practices. https://calderaforms.com/doc/adding-custom-style-caldera-forms/

On the documentation page for any of our hooks, for example this one https://calderaforms.com/doc/caldera_forms_render_get_field/, there is a panel at the end with the header “Where Does This Code Go?” That gives you links to introductory articles about what WordPress hooks are, why you use them and how to use them. It may be worthwhile to review these to make sure your code is somewhere where it will work with Caldera Forms.

Caldera Forming is our community forum. As a part of this community, you can ask fellow Caldera Forms users for help with custom code and design and learning to implement CSS. https://www.facebook.com/groups/651862761663883

If you’re looking for comprehensive assistance in developing your site (as opposed to small code modifications), or if you’d rather leave the customization to the professionals, consider reaching out to someone from our list of recommended developers: https://calderaforms.com/recommended-developers/.

All of our developer documentation for tutorials and troubleshooting help. https://calderaforms.com/category/developer-api/

With all that said, is it not possible to call the label div by id (which is a uniquely generated number based on form) and then apply your styles to span elements to override #ee0000?

Hi Kieran, thanks for leaving a 5-star review, that means a lot to me and the rest of the Caldera WP team ??

We’ve prioritized differentiating ourselves by making Caldera Forms easy for basic forms but particularly suited for complex forms. We know that the average professional site builder is getting paid to put together complex data collection structures, and we want to be there to support those projects.

I hope you’ll consider checking out Caldera Forms Pro for even more advanced features. Please don’t hesitate to reach out here or via our website at CalderaForms.com if you have any additional comments or questions.

    Hi marketemprende,

I’m sorry to hear that activating Caldera Forms caused the dreaded white screen of death! This has happened to me before too when activating the wrong combination of hosting, plugins, and themes. There’s information on how the wrong configuration combination can cause this problem – with or without Caldera Forms – at this great article from Kinsta: https://kinsta.com/blog/wordpress-white-screen-of-death/

We help users with this common WordPress problem and many others through our support channel. We address free support over 1-2 weeks, and paying users support within 1 business day.

If you’d like to give Caldera Forms another try and have any questions, feel free to reach out directly to me at christie@calderawp.com.
